how is it that only christina saw the 'tata' pictures? *shrugs* i'd figure out how to let you all see only i'm lazy. if you want to, perhaps you have to go to 'edit post' & just check out the pictures from there. they're funny.
.
i didn't see BSS due to matters that were out of my control. displeased. only not really.
.
the birthday shindango may not be going on at all; restaurant is too small for a chunk of people (thought it was bigger) & i'm not feeling so celebrational. we'll see. i'll let you know by tuesday so you can all make plans if it doesn't end up going on.
.

felicitations, nadine!!!
which pharmaceutical company are you at? my bro works at one, too!

i'm going canoeing through a rainforest or something tomorrow...we'll see how that goes.

i'm so pissed that i missed bss (last nite) and the hidden cameras (tonight--but i guess it's already over since it's earlier over there on the east...arrrgh) at harbourfront.

crissandra--are you saying ballet isn't an athletic endeavour?! :P or that something like figure skating doesn't belong in the olympics? i guess ppl aren't comfortable w/ having things that include artistic components judged in the olympics 'cause it's associated w/ sports? i guess the olympics are supposed to tout athleticism, right? i think those "artistic" sorts of things (gymnastics, figure skating, etc) do have a real athletic component in them...it's just that the judging of it is a little subjective b/c of the artistic component as well...?

blahblahblah

the moon is so beautiful tonight!!

CONGRATULATIONS NADINE!!!

I finally got to watch some of the synchonized swimming this afternoon (at work!) and found it really amusing. However, I think someone's having trouble pinpointing or defining "SPORTS". There's not enough balance in this Olympics. It's like hurdles...rowing...100 metre sprint whatever...synchronized swimming. (...Water dancing!?!) And next we will have ballet if we don't already...and then jazzercise...light jogging.

Tuesday, August 24, 2004

wow...after all the hype leading up to the Olympics I can't believe how disastrous that run was. I feel really sorry for Perdita...she was crying and she apologized for letting everyone down. :(

It just sucks that you can work so hard for something and in the blink of an eye it's gone. And she's going to have to wait another four years to get that chance again.

Bah! I get to waste a day at Canada's Wonderland tomorrow, hopefully I'll have some company...Yvonne! Hehehe

I had a job interview today at a pharmaceutical company, I'd love it I could get the position. I'd be as happy as a duck in water.

--update: I got the job :)

Sunday, August 22, 2004

hey guys,
i had a cousin reunion this weekend up around pickton (sand banks). there were around 16 of us located in to Bed and Breakfast spots. It was the first time just the "kids" did something on their own. It was really nice getting everyone together and we had good times. I think a cottage would have been a better option.

i need to sort myself for school.

my computer new harddrive is still giving me struggles.

stina, safe trip home
odk, where are u off too?
cgal, what tata pic?
crass, the video wasn't that funny. i think air farce do better skits.

Cameron Bay.

yoyoyo--

i'm in vancity now...went to victoria, banff and calgary among other places last week...
saw wesley's place yesterday (it's niiice) in the west end and went to a show (cgal--i saw the stars lead singer..heehee; p.s. niice pics!)...
going to do a skytrain trip today and hopefully see the warhol exhibit at the vancouver art gallery afterwards...
alaskan cruise begins tomorrow.

i think i'm okay for sept. 3. i think.

laaaterrrr!!!!!

Rach! You scared me! I thought you were referring to your own wedding! Wedding stuff is really a drag, mostly just the pre-planning. But it's all worth it when it's all put together. As for Andy - that's such a guy thing. No guy wants to make the mall sound cool but you know they all love shopping as much as girls do. ;)

MUST watch this... Will Ferrell as (George) "Bushy".

"Oh, didn't see ya there... Just mending my fence which is one of the many things I do when I'm on the ranch,"

question: can everyone see the TATA pictures? *laughs like a madman*

ALRIGHT LOVERS!!! so listen up; i never even realized it was a thursday. kinda just flowing with what christina suggested..so here it is:FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 3RD if christina can make that, THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 2ND if she can't make the Friday. It's not really going to be a "let's go out and get trashed" shindango so much as it's a "let's all have dinner & celebrate before we get lost in too much work & stress". sound good darlings??

CGAL. xxx

ps: CRISSYBOB..WE.WILL.ROCK. *dances & jigs & jigs some more* i'm excited!!!

Cgal, I guess this goes with out mentioning. SO SEE YOU AT THE MASONIC LODGE ON SEPT 18! Teehee. I'm in the same boat as Rach for your bday as well, basically I'm working on the Friday so I won't be able to stay out too late on the Thursday but then I guess I'll have to decide based on convenience, etc. So technical!....Now I'm really wishing I was a NOMAD. That's really cool of your friend too...REEEE-SPECT!

looool "I'd rather be a hammer than get naaaaailed!" Oh man...my manager is such a cool guy (which is weird because his name is MARC :-P) He's moving on and getting a new job. I'm gonna miss his singing and such and when he passes by Ryan and says "Cheer up, Richard,". He's always good for a laugh and never predictable.

Shall we also plan a semi-final hoe-down for this weekend?

Tuesday, August 17, 2004

oh crissy, but it was but it was. that was a splendid weekend indeed! &did you hear (at least i think i'm sure..) matt barber is playing the masonic lodge (lawr has it posted as the 'masonic temple' in mississauga..so i'm assuming he means lodge?) &lawr will be there, but drumming for some band!! september 18..i do believe we must attend!!! &it was the dimed restaurant with the disco ball *giggles* i hope chicago can work out. i do i do i do...&i think it's incredible that you acted out on what you WANTED instead of holding back like so many do. ps:if you're going to become a nomad..can i join? & actually, my friend aj is doing that! he's walking south america because it was his dream & i think he's so brilliant & amazing for doing it.

cam-no shit about chicago huh?! everytime i go something drastic happened. club tramplings, deaths, fires, jfk's plane lost in the water...geeze.

rach-i miss your crazy self. von told me about you asking for a chip & there being a huge one on your chest & i burst out laughing thinking "how cute..how rach"

SOOO september 2nd, i've got yes's & maybe's...can you just let me know? it's so far in advance that i think you can say YES I'M IN or NO I'M NOT...i'd just like to know because i get so frustrated when nobody answers & i'm left in the dark. i really don't care about this at all, it's more for christina (wink wink) but still. please & thanks & more pleases & sugar on top.

i'm out to watch GARDEN STATE tonight. it captured me with its trailer & i'm curious to see if it can live up to it. of course, it wont be better than eternal sunshine..but maybe it can come close.;)

ps: my new name is TATA 'THE VULTURE' PARSHEKHIKJIAN (aka:armenian tina turner) ROCK & ROLL BABY, ROCK AND ROLL.

Cgal, I wish I remembered which restaurant we pointed out. That night - that whole weekend actually - was such a trip, I had so much fun. Music fests are the best excuses ever to go out and drink and be merry. Chicago sounds like a thrilling idea, I've fantasized about doing the same thing...! Well not exactly but just moving somewhere and working there for a while. Sigh. *daydream

I haven't posted in forever but I feel like I've said the same stories to everyone over and over I can't remember which ones I haven't told...Hate it when that happens.

Although I'm not in school this September, I feel the Back to School Air. It's always depressing to see the summer end but exciting as this is the time of the year where I like to make last minute life decisions (like last year's decision to withdraw from Sheridan the day before Labour Day) and get excited about something new. I have a work review coming up on Friday about my job as during my "three month" review (6 mos into the job) I mentioned how I wasn't so happy with where I was professionally. Hopefeully something good will come out of this and will allow me to make other rash last minute decisions that I end up not regretting. :)

Maybe I can become a nomad and just wander the planet. I wonder what it's like in Spain?

I guess this is why I don't post often, I've forgotten how to.

Karen, thanks for hosting that get-together at your house, I enjoyed it :)

Shrek 2 was okay, but I didn't like it as much as the first one. Didn't you find that they tried to slip too many adult jokes in it? I don't know, I don't have any children, but I just thought it was a bit...much.

Grand&Toy is having an amazing sale. They're selling one of their Lexmark printers with a digital camera for 100 dollars until August 20. I just picked one up today. Pretty neat.

Two weeks and a bit until...School!

Friday, August 13, 2004

aww, karen, i can't make it on saturday. :( sorry! hope you guys have fun though!

science centre was pretty good, but finishing work is even better!! i'll miss some of those kids though.

haha, i know those marc. some guy uploaded that to my ftp server, porkchop sandwhichs is the best.

odk, il try but chances are the fam jam at my place will carry on late into the night and i wont be alchol free. hopefully i dont miss something like ratrace again.

FYI. nashville still gets fucken rammed before 10. it's still fun laughen at drunks.

Cameron Bay.

my pseudo camp ends tomorrow (at the science centre)! or, rather, it ends for me tomorrow. it goes on for one more week, but i will not be there to see it off. and really, i don't mind at all, 'cause i will be on the left coast!!
sunday--vancouver
monday--victoria
tues/wed/thurs/fri--banff
sat/sun--vancouver
mon-sun--ALASKA (cruise! food and an extra 100 lbs, here i come!)
mon--vancouver --> toronto

cam, nice music goals. unfortunately, you missed the CtD stuff and i doubt tND will be doing anymore shows for a while. you can catch darren shearer's other gig, the join, at the harmony lounge on thurs nites though...and bss is having a free harbourfront show on the 28th (or was it 27th?), as i'm sure i mentioned somewhere waaaay down there...

cgal--i'm in!! and you know it.

hey cgal, congrads to going to chicargo without a disaster happening in that city. i'm a maybe for the 2nd.

" this summer sure did suck ass monkies "
quote of the summer.

marc, glad you have started to see the sentra. i think the final step is putting down rustina. consider her dead and in car heaven. time to move on, not replace.
I heard that new tom cruise movie was good too. the bourn supremecy is not a must see movie but there is a cool car chase and a descent fight. i do however recommend the first one.

i was thinking about going to nashville tonight but ended up playing soccer. i really have enjoyed my days at work alot more this year. now that the coaching has winded down, i feel like partying a bit more.

before the summer is over i wish to:
hit: c-loung, 7, phoenix??
play: frolf, RISK
music: BSS, tND, CFD,
fix: digi cam, grades

YO! READ MY FUCKING POST & REPLY BITCHES!

just because we steal doesn't mean we're bad people...fuck.....*breaks out in manical laughter*

howdy everyone;
i suppose i've been gone for awhile, yes, but have been consumed by a week visit to chicago, lazing around in toronto & overall being lazy & antisocial at home;) chicago was wonderful & sad & i miss my little cousins so much that i'm looking into taking teachers college in chicago come next september. i'd either stay with my aunt+cousins or rent out an apartment with a family friend so i'm really hoping it can all get together. &christina...if you can get any info for me seeing that you're already pretty skilled in the bullshitlife of teachers college etc, i'd appreciate it;D so who knows who knows who knows.
x
school is quickly approaching & i've still no job & would love it if i could knit & drink coffee all day long. my mom has pimped me to her work so i'll be getting some cash knitting for others.
x
what else what else..ahh so my birthday is coming up that i don't really care much for but christina is insiting that i have a dinner celebration or something (ok so we really just want to check out a restaurant we've been eyeing quite some time downtown...crissy, it's the one we passed on our way to see cufftheduke & i pointed in & said OOOHpretty! hahah..i dont know if you remember?) so i'm thinking first week of september seeing that we all (i think?) go back the 2nd week of september..september 2 is looking peachy but i guess we can figure it out once we all swap schedules. so let me know alright? merci!
x
outfornow &all my love & more love;

jays game and wonderland were fun. i'm so damned tired though.
in addition to seeing the walkmen last night, i also squeezed in a long-awaited trip to see the turner, whistler, monet exhibit at the AGO. i REALLY enjoyed it. turner was pretty awesome. i went w/ tracy and her friend mike--hadn't seen them in a loooooong time. afterwards, they went to the green room w/ me to meet up w/ tulk (this is how i'm going to differentiate you camerons from now on--last name!) and then tulk and i headed off to lee's. it was a good show. they sound verrry different from their recorded album (well, the first one, anyway). glad i finally got to see 'em live after two failed attempts.

so--collateral, drive-in, anyone??? or before sunset at winston churchill?? it's finally spread to the GTA!

marc, i may be up for a CPR course but i have never taken the actual course before. i should have it done bc of my coaching but right now it's not required.
as for rustina.... is it reliable? good on gas?
have you courted the new car?

stina, thanks for the (journal) brackets bc i did for a second think i did agree on that.
i'm going to grab tickets for the TO island show, i with to see BSS.

rach, im glad u had fun at the cottage. sounds really good. if i knew u guys were heading back on the monday i would have come up. i feel like an old man, i would probally nap away.

it's been a wild week.
monday i cleant the insdie and outside of the entire house and my sister's friend came to visit. she's really great.

on tuesday night my sister came home from south east asia. when we got home it was after 12 but with everyone here we pretty much had christmas. she had tons to show us and we still had her wrapped gifts for her. i only caught a few hours sleep before work. on wednesday nite i was busy coaching and then my sis went through like a 1000 pics for me. i fell asleep and woke up really late for work. then tonight i had my ball hockey semi finals game. i set up our teams first goal setting up a lead pass the picking up the ball again to deek two guys and send our forwards on a 2 on 1 rush. we held the lead against the #1 team until 3mins left in the game. the other team tied it and scored the extra goal in OT. i wasnt on for any of the goals against in the last 8 games i think. now im just up icing my arm and finaly back on the putter.

where is everyone?
some at the cottage i presume and i know someone had a family road trip.

my sister finaly comes home 2morrow/wednesday.
her friend is coming over today to stay here and wait for her. that's rather nice.

One of my friends mom stayed over here a night this weekend. It was the first time I met her as she lives in Texas and lived in my mom's buidling back in Pakistan. She was quite the character and was very open. She told me about her sons (a few years younger then us) after 911 strugled to find their identity. They live in pretty much an all white area and after that they started to accosiate there skin colour/background with terrorist. It made me realize how lucky we are here to see such diversity.

This is a short week and going to be a quick end to summer.

tues - coaching
wed - coaching / sis return
thurs - ball hockey semi finals
fri - ?
sat - enroll for classes (day)
