Mal Gardee was really good. I don't have anything to compare it to, but it's agreed that I'll be witnessing Swan Lake if it ever comes around. I think Jeremy Nasmith played Alain. He was hilarious! A little goofy looking even for someone with my eyesight (what I couldn't see my imagination would fill in...I saw an Alan Cumming-esque 25 year old trying to look like a 15 year old, what with the chin-length flipped-in hair). Very nice, indeed. We missed the first 15 minutes because we stopped by the food court at the mall and the Islington bakery at the subway station. That doesn't sound too impressive, but we didn't eat anything in the morning, lol.

I decided that I don't care how much theater tickets cost, I'd rather see the Lion King before it leaves than miss out on it like I did for Rent, the Who's Tommy, Cats and the last Phantom show w/ Paul Stanley.

umm there is a new hockey one which is pretty good. guy is pulled over by a cop for making an illegal left turn but his kid in the back really starts getting mouthy. "it's just a game".

andria, that's cool. yeah a few years ago me and my dad started watch quite a bit of curling. think it was watching the women in nagano which started it all. hymmmm stina was a STFX curler i think. i tried to join a curling club with UFT but it was kind of a real pain in the ass. it was a downtown club, fairly expensive fee's., a fair distance to the rink, and that u had to have new white shoes etc. think it would be cheaper playing golf.

cam, i don't like mr. crusher. i find his website amusing though. my _bro_ has all of the TNG dvd's that one can possibly own (i think his total investment so far is worth approx. $500...they still have to release around 3 or 4 more seasons though, no?), but i sure haven't seen all the episodes. i only watch when i have nothing else to do and sime is playing them in his room, and his speakers are blasting it so loud that it's the only thing you can hear in the house.

1. was in some building which appeared to be under attack and i found spiderman's mask. so i knew i had to return it to spiderman to prottect his identy but around 20 spidermen crawled in through a hole blown in through the roof. i was confused.

2. my dad drove down mississauga road near where i passes over the credit river. well we pull up to this tiny lil shack which the whole fron section opens as a garage door. we hit the automatic door opener and yee mi is standing near her couch on the phone. she hangs up quickly at the site of us and runs around our car 2 times. she calls my mom christine.

3. dreamed i was at white stripes show but then came to the reality that this was but a dream. i told myself i had only seen them twice b4 (perhaps including the rolling stones dream show). it wasnt to much later in the morning i realized i had only seen them the one time.

4. this afternoon i was reading then i thought my dad called out to me. i ran out of my room calling him back but he was still at work and my mom was sleeping on the couch. umm strange.

been doing things in a strange order. like reheating a tiny piece of food in the microwave but setting it for a time of 3mins OR leaving lights. it's not uncommmon to have the odd lil slip up but i have been making a few. i presume with propper rest it will go.

HAHA everything i seemed to make today seemed to like jumping out of the pot. mash potatoe, gravey, pasta sauce, chicken noodle soup, and even boiling water from the kettle. I had to clean that counter top of every 5 minutes. anyways no injuries and food turned out alright.

here's the bare bones of it all:
- basically when i left, i still wasn't sure if going was such a good idea b/c i didn't know if i'd actually be able to meet up w/ the ppl i was supposed to see the show w/, i didn't know if they'd be relatively normal, and i didn't know if they'd be willing to keep me entertained until my bus left the next morning at 10 a.m. 'cause i was too cheap to get a hotel. my back-up plan was just to wander around ithaca and the cornell campus until the sun rose if they all left me...except it was freaking cold and blizzarding outside after the show.

- ride the tricolour w/ christine who went to hamilton for the weekend. i crash at tessa's in the t-dot. she's got a nice location in the city.
- after many hassles w/ greyhound, i get to ithaca later than expected
- find the performing arts residence called risley hall--it looks like a damned castle! here--

- somehow end up meeting eyes w/ mr. mraz himself for a split second
- eventually find the 5 girls that i'm supposed to meet
- watch the show--it was AMAZING. really. the three of them--ian on stand-up bass, jason w/ the guitar and his lovely voice, and toca on the djembe w/ a hi-hat while also doing beautiful back-up vocals--their sound just HITS you. i got chills just watching them all stop and start in unison. it was like taking in a pure and highly concentrated form of bliss. mr. mraz did covers of elton john's "rocket man" and etta james's "at last"--i love that song.
- one of the girls i was w/ brought an industrial strength bubble maker w/ her, and she blew a whole bunch of 'em all over the place. the bubbles don't pop easily--when they land, they can still keep their shape. jason purposely ate one of 'em. :D
- we hang around after the show...and hang around some more...i shake hands w/ toca and jason, the girls talk w/ them...blah blah blah...i could go into extreme detail but you would most likely get bored...if you're not already...

- some of the girls have been consuming coke w/ large amounts of rum added in...they are getting a tad tipsy...i get a huge blue "risley" t-shirt from colin, the dude who lives there and organized the show (oh, and i also bought one of jason's "i love sex" shirts. another girl i was w/ was the sole person who bought one of the panties they were selling. ppl. concert panties are now a staple of concert merchandise. i honestly think tND is making a killing w/ 'em.)
- and we hang around some more...eventually, the guys have packed all their stuff into their white van w/ a u-haul attached at the back, and we are still there...the girls talk about hitting a bar or something, but by this time it's already around 12:40 a.m. and weirdass ithaca has last call at 1 a.m. (thank god--i wouldn't have been able to get in anyway), so that doesn't happen.
- okay. i said i'd keep this short. the bottom line is that i ended up not having to worry about what to do after the show and before my bus left the next morning...actually, i missed the bus that i was planning on taking 'cause i couldn't wake myself up in time. if you really want to know what happened, ask me in-person. :P

I'm going to see the ballet on Tuesday! I'm really, really excited. My teacher went through this long news bit about a male ballet dancer who used to go out with Sara Something, who was also a ballerina in La Fille Mal Garde("accent aigu")e. They broke up, he ended up in a musical on Broadway and then later died in a motorcycle accident. Ask me the point of that story? Exactly. It's just ballet related.

I just won tickets from Edge 102 to go see Andy Stochansky---stop laughing ("...Andy Williams!" *sigh* Oh, those Simpsons.)---on Monday, November the 26th. This might be a long shot, but any takers? well i had an excellent find today.

Mickey Finns set at the fantazia 93 party. well that was pretty 'niffty' but after his set there is a lil note that prodigy might follow them up. so i desperatly tried to get the file to play. it did and there behold was a hiden prodigy set at the end. i dunno what exactly they are doing bc out of the around 30 shows i have i could only recognize 2 songs so far. 'Charlie' and 'Ruff in the Jungle'. They dont even announce the prodigy by name. "give it up for the live PA".
At that point in time they had a more propper set list and were recognized. I believe this was more just a jamming nite (which i have never know them to do anywhere).

sorry if your all just scrolling past that. i dont think that any other prodigy fans really know about this. hymm maybe in the morning il fess up to the find to the proper prodigy authorities and it could be whored out. today i know im 1 of 408 ppl that played that link.

i found more old prodigy gigs that im not too sure are known to have existed. sometimes i scored DLs from parties they played at but there set was not included on the tape/DL.

two towers has that "requiem for a dream" song on it for its trailer.. i recognized it as soon as i heard it... i love that song.. =)
that song has a million variations on the soundtrack. summer overture, winter overture, marion barfs (attractive i know). it's my absolutely favorite soundtrack ever. rosa bought it for me for my birthday last year. it's fantabulous. beautiful beautiful beautiful. it suits any moment. it suits that movie completely. i think i'm going to go buy myself that movie now....

well me and cliff went out to see potter. we got 2 of the last 3 tickets but as walked over to the line up met Yee Mi and Liz (+allen).
waiting in line we met Theresa and Paulo.... inside the theater we met Crystal, Earl, Jamie, Adrienne, Heather, and Melvin.
So a whole lot of us were in the packed theater for what was descent movie. I was impressed earlier on but it lost it's excitement later on. I was doing pretty good for predicting things seeing i didnt read the books *l*

On the drive home, me and Corey were still deliriously sleepy and were coming up with creative/bizarre Secret Santa presents for this guy in our class who she has. I could tell you guys what our ideas were, but it's one of those moments that are funny when your brains are so turned off and your body's so tired that even you've just stopped listening to what you were saying...You don't understand, we were laughing hard, I mean I think I stopped breathing for 7 minutes, I was actually crying---not tearing, but crying, lol.

Last night was a tonne o' fun. :) The music just gets better, I've never heard them play Nirvana until last night, it was packed and/but the crowd was a little extra aggressive. I think there's something special about it when we go on Wednesdays. It's magical, almost. There were a lot of man-whores on that dancefloor, well, more than usual, and I would get really offended if they started dancing with me and then I would get even more offended when the song was done and they'd dance with someone else, lol. It's one of those problems that so could have been prevented with alcohol.

It was worse leaving the dancefloor just walking to the bathroom, I mean it was like a stream of fish just trying to get through the water to swim to wherever it is that fish go, and hordes of fishermen just watching the fish swim by and grabbing them all by hand. I remember leaving the dancefloor a little frazzled and grabbed Yvonne's hand so we wouldn't lose each other walking to the bathroom and as soon as I step down the stairs from the crowded d/f to see if we're okay, attached to my hand is not Yvonne's---but some strange guy's whose hand I've been holding and walking with through the dancefloor...lol, he almost lost it laughing hysterically as if it was the funniest thing in the world. Which I have to admit, was kinda funny...

And a whole bunch of other stuff happened that I don't really have the time to write about because I got suckered into covering a shift tonight. Good times.

i didn't sleep at all last night. i watched the sunrise, finished up my education assignment, and went to my 8:30 math class (for once, since i was already conveniently up). then i took a 4.5 hour nap (the amount of time it would take to get to cornell), promptly missed my other math class 'cause it was supposed to be a 3.5 hour nap, and walked over to west campus for my education class. it was our last "official" class, and my prof tried to give an inspirational talk. he's actually pretty good at it. i think i would've enjoyed having him as a teacher in HS. he teaches at one here, actually.

andria, i got your msg--sat. @ 3:15 is fine w/ me (i could hear kate in the background on the phone...heehee). i haven't read the book yet, but i trust that it will be faithful to it anyway, so i don't think i really need to. maybe it'll be more fun if i don't know what to expect. but really, all i wanna see is sean biggerstaff. :D

i just found this site that has KCVI (k-town's rock'n'roll high school--haha) students interviewing mainly cdn celebrities! it's kinda entertaining, actually!

here's the disclaimer that i wanted to put on my interview article, but now i'm being discouraged to put it in b/c the journal is supposedly a "professional" paper...hahahahhahaa:
[Disclaimer: It was not until after I played back the recording of my conversation with Hugh Dillon, the lead singer of the Headstones, that I realized the phone mic had not recorded any of his responses, and I was left with what sounded like a conversation between myself and an imaginary friend. Therefore, the terrific sound bites that Mr. Dillon provided are now forever lost into the void of unrecorded spoken words.
