we won, we won! good game today!! jeter messed up real good!!! i enjoyed it immensely. he struck out twice (and was the 3rd out both times), popped up once, and got a single. i cheered like mad every time he screwed up. dough boy.
i want to be the first member of the josh phelps fan club! that guy is gonna be great someday. he almost hit another homerun today--it hit the back wall. and i like his entrance song--"push the tempo."
there were TONS of new yawkers all over the place. their license plates were everywhere...and their yankee caps...i ended up having to buy one 'cause i didn't want to sunburn my face. gave it to my bro afterwards. all the expo caps were sold-out b/c they aren't making anymore. :( the crowd was a lot of fun today. there was this crazy guy from ny screaming stuff at all the players...he was yelling stuff in spanish that we didn't really understand to the yankee pitcher and backcatcher, but we backed him up w/ "yeah, what he said!" and he was yelling at shannon stewart, calling him a fraidy cat or something 'cause he wouldn't steal a base (but then he ended up doing it--sort of). fun stuff.
now i have to clean, backup my comp, and pack. yuck.

(=

hahahha...sorry, i just had to laugh when cam said he was going to a "weeding." :D

games nite was fun, b/c i AM THE CONNECT 4 CHAMPION!!!!!!!! :))) :D

(=

cgal, if ginos put down the 30$ or whatever the fuck they are charging for that nite im sure they wont be that greasy? heck im sure the sluts will even have a lil class to them too! am i being racist? or predudice? ahhhhh fuck it, aint it the truth?

karen, i hope u have fun and safe trip. montreal city is a nice place to visit. i did it with family b4 and enjoyed. call priscillia if u can when your down there. she will be so shocked and happy =)

thanx for all of u that showed up 2nite.
connect 4 battles. playing yee mi and jay vs the tag team of stina and i was most fun. haha losing to stina alone was well a bit sad but she was a worthy contestant :). go study stina, ewwwww and dont watch conana.... he's worse then Leno.

cgal, liz had to open for work 2morrow so she couldnt come. =/
i havent seen her for awhile but things are cool.

guys im pretty drunk now but i have quite a few thoughts on my mind.
- i just watched the tape of the canadian girls under 19 beat brazil in semi finals to advance to play the USA! (sunday at 4, anyone want to go to a bar?)

Well enjoy your weekend folks. Im heading out to a weeding 2morrow nite but sunday im free. (nope, no bad boy bill and Andy C for me). you kids have fun and take care. il be talking with u soon.

thanx for coming agian
Cameron Bay.

that's the only thing making me think twice about sunday. the clubbers. dear me. all the ginos with the greasy hair, dancing gino styles to jungle. bwahahaha. it's a good laugh. the whores are hopeless too. thinking about this makes me -not- want to go. i really wanted to goto umf but joel didn't take the day off work cos he thought it was later at night. //sigh// cam, i apologize for not including you as someone who's noticed that i was away. all i caught from your message was 'i posted on blogger but not sure if you read it" i was super tired and dozy from extra strength meds. my appologies cam. why isn't joel included on your list?? tisk tisk....i am not joel;) weird how people start thinking you're one person when you've been going out for so long....

i thought liz was going? she said she was..

off. for the night.
cgal
xxx

christina: felicity..please watch the final episode. i guaruntee it'll be a riot. it's too toooo funny,.....
and yes it's called "labour of love" lol

the thing at the guv on sun is called "labour of love," right? now magazine had a contest to win tkts...

(=

stina, your right!
on that note i believe nora is right too. damn kelly, justin better beat her. we done need another mariah carry diva. i dont think there are new songs for her to preform in her range. justin, he can atleast fail with the idol thing and do musicals. he has ranged his styles from elton john to frank sinatra. maybe i should vote?

stina, if your bro is really interested in those planes he can see them doing a few banks around the airport. around 12:30pm there will be lots of activity with them 2morrow. he cant go in and see the planes like i did but of the service road he can watch them take off and land. he can see them parked from afar but just cant go airside.

haha lots of ravahs heading out to guvernment on sunday.... lots of clubbers aswell
its going to be fucking nuts! haha have fun, dont get squished. every year guv does the "end of summer" party. seems this year they are taking the Dj rockstars. the club scene seems to be really taking on lots of the raver music. breaks, house, funk, dnb, techno, and trance are moving out there.
galine, as u noticed in your page i said that i had noticed u were gone.

OK the turn for 2nite will probally be a small tight crowd.
nadine, rach, crassy, vonvon, cliff, stina.
maybies or never heard from: stine, marcin, rosa, yee mi, jay, terresa, NORA,
some ppl who arent coming: marc, karen, amanda, cgal, liz,

cam, the names nora mentioned were the ppl from american idol, i think. not that i ever watched the show.
nice pics! my bro would be so envious!
aww, it seems bashaar is going even further down the road he began in high school. too bad...

cgal, i think maybe we'll try the press screening....i'm gonna call my friend from school and ask her if she wants to come as well...we'll probably spend the whole day down there, k?

(=

aww christina someone noticed i was gone //sniff// guess i should have told you i'd be at a cottage for a week. ooops. but i'm back and sick as ever!! anytime next thursday is great with me. i have the day off work so give me a time and i'm there! and i'll definitely catch another film with you!! what a great birthday present;) and i honestly couldn't care less what now magazine has to say about the film. i don't care what anyone has to say. to each their own is definitely a phrase to live by when it comes to movies. we all have our own tastes, likes and dislikes. i'm so excited. the film was much talked about at the wedding i went to. so just let me know all the details and i'm there:) you seriously own all. i love you christina *sob*

cameron, no can do for your get together today. i just came back and want to spend today avec joel. but have fun and thanks for the page;)
oh and urban music fest wasn't for my bday. it was just to have fun. but i don't think i'm going anymore..probably going to the guvernment on sunday nite. bad boy bill..andy c....weeeee!

off for now. i'll show you all a pic of me from the wedding if pictures turned out. my hair looked KICKass. hahaha

much love

WORK IS DONE! haha
i was fine for going to work this morning just had blood shot eyes on the way in. it was a pretty good day....
i got to go visit the planes for the air show and was taken out for lunch =)

yeah, "bashaar" was there. rach u should look up his name at work bc if he doesnt have a record it looks like he soon will. everytime i saw him it appeared his crew was getting into trouble. the cops rushed the place where he was standing in the parking lot at the end of the nite.

stina the club posting for last nite was all over here. missy said she could only go out 1 nite =p

haha, imagine if hockey went down to the line with a strike? it's more important then school teachers, city workers, and cops! i think the Bay's strike has been more a storry then Baseball's would be strike. meh

nora, "too bad niki didn't win..u knew kelly was gonna get it!". are those just some random gina names or a quote or something? i dont know a niki or kelly *l*. i have nothing bad to say about the girls there. some were pretty dirty, rach believes she saw a guy fingering a girl on the couch. i saw the couple but didnt really notice anything out of the ordinarry but i think she was right.

Game Nite,
stina, can u bring the movie PIE just incase ppl do want to watch something. if that was christine's movie il bug her about it later...... =)
BYOB if plan on having a drink.

hmm. bashaar was there? hahahahhahah...and why was i not invited?!
cam, shakira was okay. eminem is a real loser. i'll admit his music is catchy and occasionally decent, but he himself is a loser. he needs to retire now. don't get me started on joey wearing the RENT shirt. he's gonna be playing mark on broadway. what the hell is the world coming to?!????!???

nora, it seems you really absorbed everything muchmusic was telling you about the awards. :D i especially liked the part where ed the sock was ticked about the retarded mtv dog.
now give me my dvd's back. remember, it's only a television show. if the show was about toronto and all the wonderful hot men that inhabited this city, then would you actually be content to live here? argh. don't follow me to ny, please. ;P

what is this casino exchange thing?

i need a drive tonite too. :)

oh yeah, one more thing--the baseball strike is averted! i saw a clip of nomar getting on the tour bus w/ his other teammates! yay. i guess that means mike kociuba gets to sit behind homeplate tonite. lucky bum. but i will be at the skydome tomorrow screaming insults at jeter!!

(=

ok marc,
if u change your mind about going clubbing or what not amanduh is welcome over here too!
(heck even lisa ;)) "especially lisa"

i had an awesome time 2nite. 1st headed to demtres with crass and rach were we saw priscilla and some of her friends. from there we went to My Appartment to see katie/laura but the lines were to long so we went to 108. the club looked pretty nice but then again most of u have seen it b4. the girls ranged from ginas, sluts, to just cool girls.... (a pretty sight). most the guys there were with there crews all being cool playing shit out. bunch of low ass bread crumb thugs with a few nice ppl in between. music was pretty great..... popular hip hop, to hard house.
we saw some FX ppl.... michael bote (sp?) who was cool to see. he works 7 days a week now but parties there all the time getting drunk and high. bouchard was there too always around some crap going on. after last call a fight broke out on the dance floor and stuff carried on outside. just outside the club someone crashed (drunk?). these were things i expected to see from 108 but it didnt rain on the nite. it was a great time for me. friendly faces, lots of dancing, and lots more dancing. awww thanx for coming ppl/

stina, il talk to u later about those mtv music awards. no way did u leave out shakirah's preformance. emminem did a great preformance aswell. remember when manson closed of that award show 3/4 yrs ago doing beautiful ppl but started of as a presidential speach (complete with marching band).

the VMA's sucked. why did i watch? probably b/c i'm addicted to trash tv. the only fun part was watching jackie white in that faabulous white suit he was wearing--and the fedora!!!!! loovely. :) btw, cam--i think it's michel gondry. and maybe the part where avril lavigne beat out john mayer was decent. they didn't even show him at all. :D justin timberlake solo was a disaster. i hate saying it, but i cringed. and i actually like him. he looked like he wanted to be either michael jackson or britney spears or both. eminem should retire now. the only reason why michelle branch won was b/c all the internet geeks who will vote 'til they get carpal tunnel syndrome love her. someone should hire me to decide who should and should not make it in the world of entertainment, b/c i KNOW what is good and what will work.

crissandra, i have no idea who this sandra person is. this means that she most probably stole the word from me, b/c afterall, i did invent the word myself.

cgal, you still here? there will be 4 screenings of ararat next thursday (the film's only screenings in the festival): 8 p.m. @ roy thomson hall (i get the impression that getting into that will be like getting into fort knox), 7:15 p.m. at the uptown 1, and 2 p.m. at the varsity (don't remember which theatres--it's playing in 2). the 2 p.m. ones are press & industry, so i think it shouldn't be too hard to get into those, but then again you never know! we could try to check out the theatres for the evening shows earlier on in the day just to scope things out...just let me know what you wanna do. warning: now magazine didn't seem to like the movie very much. but i don't always agree w/ now magazine's movie reviews, so i wouldn't completely trust them anyway. oh, and would you mind watching another movie as well? i kinda wanna see this south korean movie called "take care of my cat."

(=

BtW... GAME NITE IS 2morrow
9:30ish start.... end time??
drinking..... its OK
someone plz contact stine for me and see if she can bring twister and maybe marcin *l*

the white stripes picked up an award for directer"Michelle Gaundry (sp?) work on Fell in love with a girl. the olsen twins presented the award to them. hymmmmm i realized my @iloveraving.com email account has been flooded with white stripes chatter.

rach and crassy are the only 2 sure things *l*

marc, i think your alone on that.
as for games nite, come after work.... the fun will still be rolling out.
the start time of the nite is 9:30 more likely 10ish. a few hrs late? meh dont be scared of losing.
and shot glass checkers should be allright :)

the loblaws girl was up by erinmills town centre. i know the erinmills shopping area a lot better. the girl who worked at the pop corn place seems to have gone. what am i to do? *L*
nikki mckibbon rightfully got voted of american idol =/

Later gators, enjoy 2nite

Rach, um thanks you're lovely too, lol.

abercrombie

Uh-hmm, sounds just like me. What prep label are you?

?Oy¿ Haha. I'm so cool.

Christina, did you steal "wonky" from Sandra, the volunteer trainer? ;) I find it odd that you're both sharing this word.

:)

Wednesday, August 28, 2002

nadine what loblaws? yesterday was my day for picking up your local employee *l*

1st at the bank machine a girl from timothy's had her car swallowed by the machine. so we talked for a bit but she appeared to be a lil too young. *shut up u olsen luvahs*
the girl at loblaws i asked where to find hot dog bread and she couldnt find the word "corner" in her vocabulary. she knew it was by the bakery but in her feverous pointing and walking backwardness she crashed into someones cart :)
damage done

rach did u ignore my friday post?

nadine! excellent. yeah it sounds good... jenga, connect 4, cards, rocket hockey, and snakes and ladders. feel free to bring somethign else.... marc.... do u have checkers=?

press & industry screenings--POSTED!!! w00-h00!!!!! now i can FINALLY plan my movies!!!!!!!!! :))))))))

i dunno if i'm in for the guv....maybe if it's free. ;)

well, a lot of ppl seemed to like signs...i guess i just didn't. the ending was just a bit of a letdown. and cam, i saw the first 15 minutes last time--that's hardly most of it since the thing is about 2 hours long!
i like the sound of this games nite thing!!! more details, please!

(=

rachel, what time is early for you? ( to leave Guvernment)

aww i'm really disappoined to hear that Signs was unfulfilling...i wanted to see that movie, but i may just not now...or wait until it comes on pay-per-view
lol

cam, i'm RSVPing....i'm excited! Now all I have to do is find a game to bring...or are the games provided?

thanks for your welcome backs and stuff
marc, don't worry - i won't get you sick...in fact, i won't go NEAR you, you bastard! lol
thanks though, i am trying to get well

christina, no i didn't bring an accent back with me. My brothers tried to teach me how to speak "properly", but I have decided that the only people who can speak properly with a Scottish accent must have lived a good while in that country. I've realised even Mike Myers' accent is really bad :P I tried, but I can barely fake it.

T-11 days until the end of the world

There's a hottie working at Loblaws...meow

anyway toodleloo

i thought u saw most of signs already?
meh

tND show, i plan on catching them.... i do... really i do.

Thursday.... marc have u talked to Katie or Laura? they are doing something for sure that nite..... Bar or Club
Priscilla all so emailed me yesterday to head out to Club 108 Thursday nite. She's moving to Montreal on friday.
Now you guys are suggesting Guvernment!?! ahhhhh fuck, friday is my last day at work. Im going out just dont know where..... 1st pick is with katie and laura bc i need to see them again.

kidmenace show 2nite. im heading there after work.

FRIDAY nite, your all invited to MY HOUSE.
Theme of the nite...... games nite..... more info will be posted later ....
please give me a RSVP so i can continue to plan out the nite.

yeah, but don't you guys have hook-ups w/ that lisa girl anyways?

oh, i saw signs yesterday at the uptown. i was slightly disappointed...
i watched high fidelity again today. i like it more every time i see it.

(=

btw, have you ppl gone to the cne yet? my dad can get $6 tkts. but you have to tell by today 'cause he's gonna buy 'em tomorrow.

marc, didn't i tell you 'bout my living arrangements already? same as last year, except my housemate is now male. w/ 2 flarping huge computers. and 3 (4?) wooden ikea towers full of cd's. good ones!

come see tND! oh, and it's on oct. 5, which is even better 'cause it's a saturday. they're also playing montréal and ottawa. and they're doing their respective froshy concerts as well (mc gill and ottawa u). they're doing the uWo frosh show too. what are they? the new tea party?! i think NOT!!!

(=

tND is playing a private concert at queen's for the art-sci froshies on sept. 7!!! too bad i don't think i know any gaels this year....doesn't matter anyway, since i won't even be in k-town yet. it's my last nite of film fest fun! however, they _are_ playing in k-town again on oct. 4 (i think) at elixir. you are all welcome to come by if ya want!

no press & industry sched yet! :( and they promised it'd be today!!

(=

Tuesday, August 27, 2002

why thursday at guvernment?
hmm...i will be downtown already...

yep, airport for a day again. i think it's next wednesday, the day before the fest starts. i'm going to go check the press & industry screening sched now...so excited!!

(=

Welcome back, Nadine!! :)

Christina, I have my training thing tomorrow (Tuesday). I'm so scared, I'm gonna be all alone and everyone's going to hate me!

:(

Monday, August 26, 2002

stina, im in the works of setting up something on friday.
il announce what i set out to do 2morrow.
not quite a party not quite watching videos =p.

i was missing nelly furtardo and today much showed her home tour thing! "on the road"

stina are u at the airport again for the film fest stuff at all?

la la later

NADINE! share stories!!! did you bring a scottish accent back w/ you??? if yes, talk to meee!!!

today was my first day of 2002 film fest stuff. there were a lot of ppl that i recognized from last year, and even some who recognized me! and remembered that i love john cusack! :D and i met a girl from u of t that i will see again tomorrow for film sched training (although she has no film sched shifts....). got my "small" (hahahhaha--it looks like it's freaking XL) t-shirt, my "loot" bag (there's not much in it), the film schedule hot of the press, and 2 pinks! w00! tomorrow, i set up computers or something!

anything going on this friday nite? i think that's my last nite free...

(=

welcome back nadine.
the relative's wedding was your brothers?
cool, so that means u have a 'fantastic' sister inlaw.
your an aunt too?

surprises for me.

crassy your too funny.

cliff, hope u find your raisins

hey i'm back
sick sick sick, but still in one piece
lotsa pics and stories for those who care to view/hear

what's happened in the while?

my brother's wedding was good, his wife is fantastic....beyond fantastic
my nephew is adorable

see yous all later

I remember the California Raisins... the cartoon! Rach, they sang "I heard it through the grapevine, etc" in every episode because it was their theme song, lol. Right?... Hehe, they were big raisins with arms and legs growing out of their heads. That reminds me of that pillow that DJ from Full House had, remember that, too? Haha...What do you mean "no"?

:)

I have to agree with Christina, Roxy Blu was cool because of the music. It was different, it wasn't like listening to the usual radio stations and dancing away. Each song had a crazycool beat that wasn't hard for someone (me) to dance to (remember Joker?). It was the first time that I felt like I wasn't dancing like Elaine from Seinfeld. But it was really smokey and it was burning my eyes and the second hand weed really almost ruined everything. But I really liked those white curtains, I want to do that with my place whenever it is then that I move out.

Cam, I didn't call you "Karen", I said your name really fast. You scared me though, you almost got me to believe that I did... Thought I was losing my mind and was briefly concerned about whether I had been calling everyone "Karen" the whole night. What a crazy trip home, it was like Friday when we ended up at Canada's Wonderland, lol. Maybe I'm bad driving luck. Jenn Hollett on Much/Demand one time described the crowded room as "crazzy". Haha, no joke.

I don't think anyone went out last night, besides Karen. I fell asleep at around 1-2 am, and ironically enough I slept in and was late for work, 2nd time this week...

I was just watching Bottle Rocket (with Owen Wilson, Luke Wilson) this afternoon, it was sooo funny.
It's one of those heist-comedies...One of the best parts is with Dignan's "75 year plan".

I was spinning free with a little sweet and simple numbing me, are you listening?

Sunday, August 25, 2002

btw,
crassy liked it too

the smoke was icky though. haha everytime i visit here its just after stina posts.

guys i thought that trip to lake was pretty nice. the drive back was pretty crassy. it was filled with as many detours as friday *l*.
all is well. :). but i think crassy called me karen =p

btw rach, it was $15 on fri 'cause we paid at the door. if you got advance tkts, it'd be $10. :))

i remember the cali rasins. i had the whole set of figurines of them KFC gave out back in the day. one sits in my basement on a beam.

well i have enjoyed most the clubs i have been too. most the time its something repetive that gets to me. the crowd, music, or place. roxy blu was fresh but that 2nd room needed its own vibe.

anyone want to do something today. i have been home for a few hours and well im up for anything. even going to the park. its a beautiful day.

ps- last nite, i didnt go out. i dunno if anyone really did. marc it sounded like u were having fun.

yes, i remember the california raisins!!

wow, it seems a lot of you didn't like the roxyblu...weird. i really liked the music, especially since it wasn't the usual mix of overly-played popular stuff that you usually hear, but then again, i didn't stay long enough for it to all start sounding the same.....i usually find that the decor of the place really helps me judge whether i like the place or not, too. :) biiig example: the guvernment. :)

(=

Saturday, August 24, 2002

ooh--addendum to write-up of yesterday: after i left the roxyblu, i had to go to finch station to meet my bro so he could drive me home. yeah, so i ended up on the wrong end of the subway line--i somehow got it mixed up w/ kennedy station. i had to call my bro and tell him that i was at the wrong place, and afterwards when we were at home he told me that when i had called him he seriously thought i was either on drugs or drunk! geez. i was neither.
another thing! we visited so many ethnic communities yesterday! chinatown, koreatown, greektown, little italy... :))

cam, you want to bother them for free stuff?! :D good idea. let me know how that goes... :) the cd has a weird title. cornershop and the super furry animals are on it. they're the only 2 bands i've heard of. the rest is pretty good though.
you ppl didn't see me b/c i'd LEFT by then b/c i wouldn't have a ride home otherwise!!!!!! bums!!!!! did marc end up going?? oh well, maybe you saw my friends there afterwards...

so great.

(=

chrstina, shuddup :)
WTF u came? we got there around 12:30 and stayed til around 3:00am..... a bit later
we were dancing in the upstairs room most the time. (the room with the white curtains hanging down).
errrrrrrr why didnt we see u!?!

ottawa update, i dont know. i told my parents about it and we actually had a half descent converstation. im really quite confused on what im doing. i doubt il head out 2nite bc all's i want to do is think. .....this might take awhile

btw stina, what is on the beggars banquet/XL sampler..... or the title of it? i was going to mail them to bother them for free stuff. prodigy, white strips, the avalanches, basement jaxx, badly drawn boy, air, etc. I think i still will but il get some money 1st.

hmm. maybe i should just marry girls. :D

(=

haha, marc, i notice k-town is #3 on your list...and #5 on your second list. :D that was a funny, funny nite.

so yesterday was a looong and interesting day.
i met tracy at yonge/bloor, and we proceeded to the design exchange on bay. they weren't having any exhibitions until september. :( so we had like a 2 hour lunch at pho 88 in chinatown instead. :) we got some chupa chups for dessert from sugar mtn on richmond, and then we headed over to the bathurst area and proceeded to get a bit lost...then we found our way and made it over to soundscapes on college, which i have never managed to find until yesterday! they have a kickass cd selection, but the prices are a bit too steep for me, so we proceed to take advantage of their free stuff instead. they actually had some wicked free stuff! we got free cd samplers from the XL/beggars banquet label and a loot bag from some magazine called rosco. the loot bag was filled w/ CANDY!!! mainly chupa chups (and we had to buy some just a half hour before) and rockets and tootsie roll pops. and some gum. and a balloon and those party favours where you blow on it and the thing rolls out...yeaaah. ooh, and there was a mix cd in there too. so i like soundscapes. then we head back up to bathurst and bloor and then get lost again and then finally go over to lee's palace to catch TMBG! it was so great to see cool parents bringing their kids to the show. :)) ooh, and when we got there, TMBG's tour bus was parked right outside, and i saw john flansburgh step out and cross the street! yay! the show was cool. they shot a rainbow of confetti out into the audience again. they sang my fave song, too--NEW YORK CITY!!! :))) i hope tracy liked it. she looked amused....
after the show we got a bit lost again and then found our way and took the subway down to the eaton centre to meet her friend mike (he does great, believable, british and scottish accents! but not irish) and one of his friends. then they told us that they wanted to go clubbing, so i had to go and buy a new top 'cause i was wearing my tND shirt, and that's not very appropriate! so i bought this black woolish tank top thing, and we proceeded to eat dinner at mr. greenjeans. (it was about 9 p.m. by this time.) then i called you all to see where you were going tonite, and you all said roxyblu, so i told 'em about the roxyblu, but then they decided they wanted to see what the guvernment was like. and since i'd have to leave early anyway since none of you had space in your cars, i decided to go to the guvernment. mike drove us down there, but then i proceeded to remember that it was r&b nite, and mike don't like r&b too much, SO we ended up going to the roxyblu!!! where the hell were you ppl?!? i did not see any of you at all. what time did you actually get there?? i thought the whole place was great. it looked even better than that time we went for the film fest party, 'cause they opened up the little private couch areas in the main lobby-ish area. the music was great, too. i think it's safe to say now that i really do like that place. i even like their washrooms!
oh, and btw, that nite was a special nite. it was another "movement" party. that's why it was so expensive. remember i was telling you guys about it last time when i was trying to get you guys to go, so i could hand out tND flyers? and we ended up going to the dreaded g-spot instead???

(=

marc u bastard,
that's my girl!
"*ps, stina im guessing it was you that made KK "shush" =p. i think i had seen that lil video a scarry amount of times anyway but i watch everytime. she's one of those girls all the guys like...... but what do the girls think about her? "-[6/10/2002 12:15:49 AM | Cameron Bay.]

hehe thanx for posting the pixs. haha i have an image of that smile saved in my mind from since i posted that video originally. so what took u so long to get interested in this one? haha and uploaded those pixs to your site.

marc of course i remember the row of girls. trying to get to the bar passing through 15 girls on each side of u all dancing pretty much into your shoulders. haha i remember on the walk back u lost so much beer due to spillage. awww to bad u couldnt have come out last nite.

roxy blu. 15$ cover was a bit much but that was OK. rather spend 5$ more then end up some place where i couldnt enjoy things as much. the crowd was pretty friendly and it wasnt over crowded. beer cost $4.75, and they just keep that extra quater >:(
the music sets were like none i have ever heard b4. that was refreshing but they needed the 2 rooms to hold a far more different sound. it was funky house most the time. i needed that little dance and shake with u guys.
rachel thanx a lot for driving and showing us around the town.

cgal, i have to miss your bday thing then i think. if im able to pull mississions from the wedding i could technically get to UMF around 4am and catch a lot. without catching kenny ken and the one they call anabolic frolic is it really worth it? like i mean it's "Kenny Super Hero Ken!". well u have a great time with the hornz and lightah crew. knockem dead u juglette you :)
oh cgal, i think u should thank me for "twisting your words around" bc i think some ppl needed clearification there *L*
hehe and how did your cousin end up calling u "princess galine"? it's cute, but how??
fuck i need to see liz, yee mi, rosa, and yourself b4 summer time's end.

NEXT FRIDAY, ARE YOU GUYS BUSY? -(odk no need to respond =p)

Friday, August 23, 2002

i'm in an esthero craze right now.....
hey everyone! what a long day this has been. mind my typing my nails are freakin' long and it's proving hard to type! but they look good. and thats all that counts;)
omg cam do you have to disect E V E R Y T H I N G and make me sound EVIL?!! if you watch movies alone it doesn't matter. it's just my own personal thing, i hate doing anything alone because it bothers me.i cant even shop alone! i like someone there to talk to...i enjoy the company of others:) and it's always nice to have someone to turn to when you're confused about a certain part of the movie
example: from hell "so what you're saying is, it's a movie about a prince who has syphillis(sp)??" hahha

christina ur not a loser. you own. yay for being independant!

cameron-shaddap:)

birthday:
urban music fest for sure, not a bday celebration but it's an awsome way to end the summer. august 31st at 2pm for all those interested

umm...it's either the kingdom on sept.6 or phoenix on sept 7 OR 14th. whoever is interested lemme know what day is best cos i want everyone THERE!

Joel bought me s u b u r b i a. i'm in heaven. best movie -ever- (written by eric bogosian.woo.hehe)

cgal xxx

good job marc on getting in :)
u got drunk at the pub on canada day? what pub was that? was i drunk? i thought we had only 2 drinks.
haha the day we played soccer and risk was another storry. that didnt make my top ten bc that was bad *l*
the drinking at ribfest was good :)

hymm that book sounds familuar. i think my sis read it or a girl who i worked with did. is it a few years old?
i guess i could look it up on amazon. haha the one book i set out to read this summer is still sitting above my computer with the book mark on page 1. (catcher in the rye). summers been good, but i havent been reading novels =p
i should though... =/

hymmm ROxY BLU. im going to a club this weekend for sure. 2nite, 2morrow whatever. i just need to dance. heck i kinda feel like something a bit hardcore.

crassy, hehe crassy. :)

BTW, anyone call my cell phone @ 4:05?

Ooh, competition with Rach for Christina's hand in marriage!

Which John Cusack Are You?

"Buh..." lol, Marc. Yeah, U of New Brunswick will pretty much say anything you want to hear to get you to apply. Just don't let them put you on their mailing list or give them your phone number! :o\

I just called Telus to get them to switch the mailing address from my mom's name to my name (I was underage for an account so it's under mom's name and info). But I want to switch direct-withdrawal payments from from Canada Trust to my new bank account, but I can't unless I change the mailing address from my mom's name to my name.

So, basically only mom can do that for me, but she's at work. So, of course, the only other option was to call posing as my mother. This was the best part. He asked for two pieces of ID from "your daughter" so I said "Oh, well she happened to leave her wallet here,". But of course I couldn't recite "my daughter's" info to him. I was by myself, so of course my daughter couldn't *also* talk to him unless I changed my voice, or just spoke my regular voice, because for some reason I think my mom speaks two octaves lower than mine and says things like "oh, awesome, thanks!".

In conclusion, I didn't get anything accomplished with Telus, like I had planned on my To Do list, and I made a major fool out of myself because when we were saying goodbye, he was giggling.

Whew. All this talking on the phone's got me in the mood for shopping.

Anyone up for the Coldplay album release party @ Club 279? Just an idea.

Pat Benatar is coming out with a new album at the end of the year. Awesome. :)

stina i hoped u noticed all of that... and u did :)

anywhoo, as i told a few of u today looks like that i will be moving to ottawa come september and working/staying with my cousin and godson. il tell you guys of course when i have decided. that's just whats in the cards.

i think i ended up going to Erindale over Ottawa bc of u guys down here (and ottawa's accademic probation BS). no regrets about that at all. how ever short the time where gone il miss u all always, il luv u always.

Cameron

i love this test:

Which John Cusack Are You?

i figured out what all the options are, too: being john malkovich (love it), say anything (love it), midnight in the garden of good & evil, bullets over broadway (love it), better off dead, high fidelity (like it), grosse pointe blank (love it), and the sure thing. the only one i haven't seen is the sure thing. if you get lloyd dobler i will marry you.

wowee. i took part in 40% of cam's top ten drunken moments. (#'s 4-7, for those of you keeping score at home.)
i hope i don't jinx myself, but i'm proud to say that i've never puked as a result of ingesting excessive amounts of alcohol. phew!

re: movie-watching alone--
"dont worry, nothing to be ashamed about :)."
i'm not ashamed! i'm actually kinda proud that i don't really mind being alone.

"i notice u tend to like to just watch the way things work and how ppl react. that was one of my 1st impressions of u and it has stuck all this time."
that is one of the coolest things you've ever said about me! thanks.

"makes sense why u would enjoy baseball too."
shut up.

BIG DAY TOMORROW!!!
(=

ewwww stina finds it annoying *l*

yeah stina, i know u like watching movies by yourself. we talked about it b4... and u posted a day or so ago that u could be left sitting in a theater all day.
hehe dont worry, nothing to be ashamed about :). i notice u tend to like to just watch the way things work and how ppl react. that was one of my 1st impressions of u and it has stuck all this time. makes sense why u would enjoy baseball too.

crassy punkfest looks good and i would go if i would be able to pull of enough missions to get myself there. how would i get there after the wedding? if i did have time to go would i wouldnt be in driving condition! damnit.

speaking of drinking.... TOP 10 BEST MOMENTS (when i happened to be drunk)
1.grad hotle party, card game
2.my 19th bday party, kid menace set
3. HNM prom, at the cottage
4. my cousin's wedding this year
5. rosa's bday, guvernment
6. NYE, guvernment
7. tND/pub/res @ guelph
8. cottage, grilled cheese
9. sean's 19th bday
10. aunt and uncles 25th
Infinite (is there a limit to drunkness?). Lime Lite - with yee mi
(olivia's party, canada day, camping, phoenix, system, lime lite (again), gspot, week at wassaga, NYE)... notable mentions ;)

80% of the time i was not sick.
70% were on vodka only.

crissandra, you are nuts. you are all nuts. :Þ

has anybody heard that new justin timberlake song? w/ the neptunes/n.e.r.d? i hate to admit it, but i kinda find it annoying...!

(=

Better Off Dead isn't technically better but it's more enjoyable than Say Anything.

Marc, do you mean today Thursday and tomorrow Friday? If so, that would be perfect. If you're talking about next Thursday and Friday, I don't know my schedule yet but I'm never scheduled for Fridays because I'm always fucked over for Saturdays and Sundays. So basically Thursdays/Fridays are a-okay.

PunkFest actually looks like it might be fun.

DON'T YOU JUST FEEL SO TRAPPED SOMETIMES?????!!!?!?!!!!

actually cam, cgal is calling me a loser either way, b/c i actually enjoy going to movies by myself sometimes. :((

(=

(if this song is driving u nuts u can edit the code in my post switching AUTOSTART from TRUE to FALSE)
christina and marc,
that coversation u had about the chimes went on for far too long *l*
i talked to the irish lady, shared my food, amanda fell asleep, irish ppl left,,,, and the coversation continued =p
geeks :)

crissy, that was a full crassy post. *tear* so beautiful

cgal becareful not to get stina upset now. "as long you're with me and i'm not a loser all by myself". are u trying to say then you will both be losers or that losers see movies by themselves? did u just call stina a loser? =p
"artsy movies can always fuck you over" *l*
cgal the sooner u can pick out a date for your bday thingy the better bc time dissapears fast.

oh we watched signs. the opening scene where mel gibson wakes up scared rach and odk =p.

stina punkfest sounds like such a good time. 20$ camp out and drink beer, enjoy the punk shows, and i was going to see to it sean did some of his accoustic stuff around a fire at nite. *l*. then there is UMF which has a pretty fucking awesome line up too. Kenny Ken!! (they also had trance and hhc). well that cant really fly for me bc i have another wedding to attend to. family friend deal but il probally drink a bit and let them know what the prodigyboy is about *l*

marc, the drinking bit is so true.
but tim hortins, bubble tea, videos, etc is all a way we get to know each other.
i dont have plans for this weekend yet. well i think there are some familyish ones but I dont have plans yet.
i saw some of u guys alot last weekend/week

OK i think im going to take a trip to the schools today. not Erindale but Humber and Sheridan. just a short skip and jump away. i need info.... to see the buildings. if anyone wants to come u can call me *l*

Cameron

marc, i still think the chime is a major chord. listen here!

(=

wow, kid menace is famous. :D

cgal--that is so cool that yer dad is gonna go w/ y'all to see it when it's released! WATCH SAY ANYTHING!!!!! if you have a dvd player, i will lend you the dvd. if not, you can come here and watch it. :D i will let you know about the whole ararat thing on the 27th. (btw, what the heck does "ararat" mean???)

(=

aloha!
damn christina you sure did write a lot. jk jk it's all good (of course it was, it was a response to me! meee!) why didn't you make use of the word "wonky"?! i absolutely love it. it can make a bad day turn wonderful. so much power in that wee word "wonky" lol. brings tears to me eyes it does;)
--in reply to your message:
i don't want to buy tickets! if you can get me in that's awsome. i'm not even going to bother t r y i n g to get in. whenever you find things out just let me know, whatever type of screening it is it's good for me, as long as you're with me and i'm not a loser all by myself! perhaps i'll go out and rent one of his movies although i'd probably understand the majority of the content in this one so it shouldn't be //too// hard. but then again, artsy movies can always fuck you over. that sounds bad doesnt it. i also know it's going to be released in november:) but since i'm so absolutely special..i need to see it before anyone else does. i'm greedy! greeedy! nah, i just think it would be a great experience. my dad and i already have plans to watch the film in the theatre *something he never does* with my entire family.

crissandra you seriously are too funny. i know what you mean, i'm not a huge fan of horror movies partly because i'm a lil'whimp.my eyes are shut throughout most of the movie. anyone watch signs? the dogs BARKING scared me! lol! i laughed so hard after that...because i pretty much jumped out of my seat. damn dog.

i have to watch this "say anything" movie. john cusack is awsome so i'm guessing i probably would love this movie. and if it's all girlie girl like it sounds like from everyones responses, chances are i'd love it:)

i want to do something for my birthday before everyone leaves...what to do? i'm still thinking urban music fest' but that's not really birthday-ish. hmm. we'll see..well for the people that are not leaving us to goto school *sniff sniff* i'll probably end up going to phoenix or something on the saturday after my birthday. it'll give us all a chance to discuss how school is going...and drink all our problems away;)

off for now.
much love..cgal xxx
i just don't belong here...hey look at that girl

hahahhahaha. $2.
okay, how is better off dead better than say anything?! i mean, i liked it (it _is_ john cusack), but the first girl he wants to kill himself over is so cliché! for some reason, i sometimes get the plot of that one mixed up w/ harold and maude....hahahha....i think it's the whole suicide thing.

(=

Cgal, I didn't end up making it to Christina's moviefest. I was stuck at work being tormented to death by this girl who wanted $2 off her Ghost World dvd, which reminds me that she now has two copies, of which one is mine *cough Christina cough*. ;) I can't stand scary movies. It's a bunch of bs in the beginning but somehow I end up with nightmares for days on end. I know I've watched a few horror films with you guys, but my eyes are shut for most (all) of the scary parts/movie, lol. If I did end up watching Session 9 I woulda been looking for the "Daddy, ask the man for some candy" part that you mentioned before but also hopefully woulda also disregarded the rest of the movie/scary parts.

I think the best part about Say Anything is Peter Gabriel's song. Makes me all weepy and teary eyed. Ha-ha-no. : p But I think it's really sweet; the absolute pinnacle of the movie was obviously when Lloyd is standing outside of Diane's window just holding up the radio in the rain. Awwwwwww. :)
:|

Isn't it ironic, Rach, that you have to work to go to school...Well okay maybe not exactly ironic, all getting all technical on me. I just mean that it sucks. School's expensive...But as the old saying goes, work hard, play hard. It'll all even out in the end.
:)

Marc, okay so you've stopped thinking right? :) Good. *pauses*
Aw, we coulda been campus buddies! What's with all this folly? First, the media programs get transferred off to another "college" campus (or, row of cottages as I'd like to refer to them as) and the only two other people I know (outside of school, yourself and friend from work) that are going to Humber are off to the good campus. North Campus is the shit, Marc. Except for the crap classrooms. You guys get the PUB! Can't you just, you know, bring over the Nursing program over to Row of Cottages Campus? And the pub, too, while you're at it. :p

"ANYONE WITH ME!?!??" Woohoo. :)

Cumeron, your on a role. *lol* Ah, I'm crying, why is that still funny. I'd have to agree with ET, "furris bullers day of" ;), Breakfast Club (Pretty in Pink was just released on DVD last Tues!), Big, Footloose (just for the---
"I thought only pansies wore neck ties"
"Well...I thought only assholes said the word 'pansies'" (Ohhh!!!)
part),
Princess Bride, Dirty Dancing... And would add Superman, Back to the Future (part 2), Goonies, Better Off Dead, Stand By Me, and Sixteen Candles. Whew what a list...I guess that's really a top 13.

:)

Wednesday, August 21, 2002

oh my--
my friend maggs from school just told me that she saw me on one of the big screen things for the way of the cross at WYD! yikes! maybe that means that we were all on???

cam--what are you talking about? mind games?? i'm off to school on galine and my bro's b-day--sept.9.

(=

stina u sure did, newhoo
when are u leaving for school?

tell andria that marriage is off. i cant stand her mind games. =p

cgal, as of right now the film fest has only announced the schedule for the gala films and the visa screening room films (everything else will definitely be announced by aug. 27)...so that means for now, we only know that ararat is screening at roy thomson hall for the opening gala on sept. 5. there will probably be 2 or 3 other screenings of the movie as well...some on the same day, and a few on other days. if you want to buy tkts to the gala screening at roy thom, hahahahhahahhaa--good luck!! it's impossible. you can, however, buy advance tkts for the other screenings. BUT--the whole tkt process for the fest is a bit...crazy. (hee hee--i was gonna say "wonky," but thought better of it.) it's kind of complicated, so if i ever see you in person, i'll try to explain it to you. single tkts go on sale on sept. 4, but i can tell you now that it will probably be pretty hard to get some for ararat b/c it _is_ atom egoyan, and all the ppl who bought coupon books and stuff will have first dibs. rush tkts *might* work, but you'd have to line up pretty early to get one.
soooo...i was gonna ask you anyway: i will try to find out about the whole gala thing, but if that doesn't work out, would you prefer to go to a public screening or a press & industry screening? this also depends on when those screenings are, but i can most probably get you into one of those two. the diff btwn them is that it is a lot easier to get into a press & industry screening, but you'll be surrounded by mostly jaded movie biz types, and for a public screening, it's a bit tougher to get into, but the crowd should be more receptive, and there _might_ even be a q&a session or something w/ the director afterwards...or maybe a little speech by him before the movie starts.
shiiit, i just wrote a lot.

oh btw, galine, have you ever seen an egoyan movie? i'll just warn you now that he can be a bit...artsy. and sometimes maybe a bit vague or abstract. if you haven't seen any, you should rent the sweet hereafter or felicia's journey or even exotica or calendar or something, just to get a bit used to his style.
one more thing...you know that the movie's going to be released sometime in november, right?

(=

*hits play on the music*

nice posting cgal =p
i thought u had some stuff u were supposed to reply to me about b4? haha u dont have too =)

as for the movie list. bill and ted just kicked ass when i was small. probally something i wouldnt appreciate in the same mannor now but it sure did rock. i was considering putting on Top Gun but it really wasnt that good but cool to watch the planes. I still have to watch the whole movie of Days of Thunder. i think i should pick BIG up to the #1 spot. that movie has everything... haha i should watch it again to plot him against the Hamlet archatype or something.
cliff, return of the jedi was an excellent feel good movie. happy happy =). empire strikes back was awesome too. damn! good.

my icq is still craps. but il take of it. u will see :)

So im going to LOG onto MSN now.... ummmm msg me or il have to post more here =p

will you stay with me forever and tell me that you'll never go away
maren ord is such a cutie. and canadian:) and got into the final, yes FINAL, felicity episode.

wonky christina that is the greatest word i've heard in quite some time. and you're right, the episode was a b s o l u t e l y wonky. terrible. disgusting. a disgrace for a felicity episode. if they wanted her to be with noel in the first place //like i did!// then they should have done so.

so you all watched session 9! it was incredible. perhaps not so //creepy as it could be. but you must admit those tapes of the sessions were downright eerie! crissandra, did you watch the movies? if so, do you know why "dadddy, ask the man for some caandy" creeps me out!

in teacher voice everybody whip out your text books and today we shall learn about the armenian genocide. oh wait a second, it's not included in text books! i'm not going to sit and discuss what went on...but i think this movie will definitely educate and bring up an important part of armenian history that so many try to make forgotten. the usa does not bring up the genocide nor teach it b/c they are allies with turkey. and turkish people deny the entire thing. but enough about that. christina, on the site it says the movie will be shown september 5th. can people purchase tickets to see films they want? curious to know.

bill and ted, ET, the breakfast club, ferris brullers day off, BIG...great movies:)

all my love
cgal
xx

good list, cam! bill & ted's...hahaha...i dunno if i'd put that one though. i really liked the princess bride. raiders of the lost ark was okay, but it was no say anything!!! i always get confused btwn return of the jedi and empire strikes back. which one's first? return of the jedi, right?
wowee, a site dedicated to say anything! yay! see, even roger ebert thought the movie was fantastic. i'm not that crazy.
cliff--your feelings are wrong. either that, or you don't know good dialogue when you hear it!!! :Þ

(=

stina, worshiping?
i like his words bc they were some what ordinary. his explanation to "what do u want to do with your carrer?" at least sounded familuar to me. most his lines were ones that i could see myself or other ppl i know saying. my fave one of his was when he snapped back at his sis saying "is it that hard for u to be happy" (? something along those lines) when she told him to be his 'uncle and not his friend'.

btw... this image is from a UFT @ erindale web page!!

i dunno if it might fit into my top ten movies for the 80's
1. return of the jedi (star wars)
2. bill and ted
3. ET
4. furris bullers day of
5 . the breakfest club
6. BIG
7. footloose
8. the princess bride
9. dirty dancing
10 raiders of the lost arc ..... or say anything??

*honourble mention to BATMAN.

as for Emilly. i already liked the movie from b4 and enjoyed watching it again. i found this time around i was more fascinated on Emilly. Her looks, smiles, even camera angles looking upon her?

(if this song is driving u nuts u can edit the code in my post switching AUTOSTART from TRUE to FALSE)

ah, you ppl just can't hack movie fests, can ya? mwahahhahhaha...you could stick me in a theatre for a whole day and make me watch new movies one after the other and i'd be okay. (as long as you give me some snacks and washroom breaks in between.)

cliff--i will gladly watch say anything again and have you point out the exact dialogue. b/c i still think you are nuts. the dialogue is fabulous. the combination of words that come out of lloyd dobler's mouth are nothing short of worshipping! and still...what do you mean by "overdone"?! can't you clarify it at all??
and i had a clue that it might be him waay before the last 20 mins of the movie for session 9. at least i thought he was a little nuts, even from the beginning of the film.

(=

cliff--please clarify for me how exactly the writing was overdone in say anything...? i'd really like to know. are you talking about the story or the dialogue? i will argue the merits of this movie to the end, b/c it definitely makes one of my top 10. you all just need to see it again W/OUT the distractions of everybody else there to realize its genius.
i don't agree about the "who" part of your reason for finding session 9 interesting either. it wasn't too difficult to figure out who did it. the "why" thing still baffles me a bit though.
what did you think of the tiny bit you saw of amélie?

(=

to those of you who DIDN'T like say anything--you have no hearts or souls, and i pity you. :Þ
but really--how can you NOT like it?!??? the writing is so damned great, and it's JOHN CUSACK!!!!!! how can you not like lloyd dobler?!???
oh well. i'm glad i like it, anyway.
session 9....yeah....i have to admit, i was a tad disappointed. i guess i expected more, 'cause i'd heard such great things.
cam, sorry 'bout not being there!!! i hate when my mom phreaks out on me. and ya know, i THOUGHT it might've been boston or something in session 9 yesterday, 'cause the style of that building really did look familiar!!

marc, i used 400 film as well...i think. or maybe it was 200. hmm. anyway, i'm too lazy to transfer the pics to my sympatico site and then post them here, so you guys can just copy & paste to yer heart's content.

(=

crassy said im the best =)
*grins*

earlier this week i made the statement that "guys blush more easily then girls". i retract that comment. i stick with the comment that girls can make a guy blush more easily. why? look at yourselves (marc, cliff, dont look). in the end i think girls do it more often bc it's a predisposed trait that show men when a women is sexualy arroused. get that blood flowing.

stina! great movie night.
u see why i was asking for details about the times now *l*. your poor mom, she was so worried. thank her for giving me some orange juice and magazines to check out. anytime you guys feel like coming over and doing that its alright with me.

I liked say anything a fair bit. it wasn't no "brekfast club" but it was a sweet storry. funny how just the few things going on in the movie created conflicts and meant everything for the ppl in the movie.

As for Session 9. pretty well done but something lacked with the excitement.

Stina u know where that building is located? Massachusetts!
read the truth.... or atleast what might be true about the venue here.

Tuesday, August 20, 2002

Chris, yeah...Elgin? I didn't realise it was one of the 3 theatres that had the most amount of stairs until I read the orientation book after the orientation. Not so bright on my behalf, but I was drawn to the excitement. And like Rach said, maybe someone *Matthew* cool might be there. ;) Oh, and I love that bucktooth shot of me in the empty car pic.

Rach, I think Christina was basically explaining that it's pronounced "Con".

And why on earth would anyone ever want to choke a harmless little smurf? ...But per chance it did happen, I, too, have to go with purple.

Marc, you must calm down! You are getting way ahead of yourself. Take it a day at a time, eventually you'll find yourself settling in to a job you'll always look forward to. Take it easy, we're all in the same boat and you're freaking out some of the other passengers.

:)

As for the girls at Humber, I'm not too sure. I think I made friends with the only cool ones and they'll be at "Lakeshore High" with me in September. Lakeshore High, of course, being the South campus that looks like a high school...and not really a high school. Anyway, Humber's like every other school, nothing so different than the others, which isn't so much a bad thing, I guess.

Cam, you're the best *lol*... "your on a role"

Hands...touching hands...reaching out... touching meee....touching youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu!

"i don't know why my family has been put through such abuse over the years. that's sick. i better stay away from you crazy prodigy type....;) "-cgal
u scared the crap out of me for a second there. thought that was in reference to the armanian genocide and not the mice. eeks =o
*wewh*

stina, your pics turned out well especially the subway one. haha out of your 3 WYD pixs one is of the subway alone? your nuts :)
im going to get changed and head over to your place. be there around 5:15ish??. *makes up a time*
damn, i have seen amelie b4 but thats the one movie i know im sure to enjoy. *l*

marc, your thinking pretty wisely today.
the work thing. the twice as long summer. the purple smurf. your on a role

*argh. geocities is so frustrating. i will post them later, i'll leave links for now.*

i forgot to post my pics from WYD and stuff (not that i have many or that they're any different, but...):

cgal, i didn't watch it. i warned you that it would get wonky!! :D

(=

fun fun fun, i have to work in an hour...
i have some stuff to reply to but don't have much time. but i had to say this
christina: i truely hope you did not catch felicity last night. WHAT A JOKE! it was ridiculous. it ruined the entire show for me. the graduation episode should have been left as it was. it's unbelievable. now all of a sudden megans spells work and she "takes felicity back in time". ben cheats again? elana dies? noel is getting married? what the fuck!? and it's so choppy and non-felicity at all. i was laughing throughout the entire episode. //sigh//

cameron: eek! *runs and hides* poor lil' mice. i don't know why my family has been put through such abuse over the years. that's sick. i better stay away from you crazy prodigy type....;)

more later

dammit marc posted just before i did.

btw, rach, it's pronounced like "can," but the a's not nasal-american-ish--more britishy-y; the back of the mouth opens more instead. i wish i could remember what the friggin' linguistic symbol thing for it was....bah. of course, depending on how you say "can" (i think some ppl differ btwn the noun and the verb), there could be an arseloadfull of a sound difference.

(=

okey dokes.
movie fest plans:

cgal--umm...it will have to be on sept. 5 or 6. those are the only days that i can go to the fest! i hope they'll have screenings on those days...won't find out for sure until the 26th or something...if not, we'll FIND a way to get into the gala opening!

cam--if i can find yvonne tomorrow, we will be starting earlee. so come whenever you can...sorry, i can't be specific! make up a time or something if it'll make you feel better.

"The Government of England is currently in a huff over a study Cambridge University did to mice. The experiment was to understand how their brains could react to being injected with methamphetamine and then having to listen to loud music. The experiment was part of a wider study that was done to look at the effect amphetamine has on the striatum, a brain region that degenerates in Huntington’s disease.

The scientists studied 238 mice, half they injected with salt and the other half they injected with the drug. The ones who were injected with salt fell asleep during the loud music, however the ones that were injected with the drug swayed back and forth to the music.

The scientists found that the drugged mice suffered more speed induced brain damage. Seven mice that listened to The Prodigy died, as did four mice that listened to music by Bach with a similar tempo.

Animal rights activists are condemning the experiment while the British Union for the Abolition of Vivisection called it "tasteless and horrific."

MOUSIE, maybe u should stay away from us Prodigy Type *l*

that sounds familuar but not like something i have watched.

stina, anytime? ummmmm plz be a bit more specific :)

crissy is being crassy =)

hey, "the believer" was just released in theatres here! hahaha...remember, it's the ryan gosling movie that i made you guys watch. got a pretty good review in the star, too!

(=

**i'll post more later but just in reply to christina!!**
one of the screenings is all i need baby! haha...by any chance would you know what day it would be on? because i was going to call my work tonight and just tell them to add a date to my already long list of days i want off. i just have to know soon because she'll be making the 1st week of september schedule next week or this week..but if you don't know it's all good, and the day of i'll just call work "extremely ill" *muahahahaha*

post more later in reply to you camm and to crissandra!

Cgal, at the TIFF recruitment session they were talking about Egoyan and stuff. I wasn't really following the announcer but I thought I'd mention it anyway. Oh, my point was that they asked a trivia question that no one knew and Atom Egoyan was the answer. Can that even really be considered a point?...My whole day's been messed up, and I've been saying weird things with no relevance to anything all day long. This is ridiculous.

Christina, where is your training at? I think i'm at Roy Thomson Hall on Aug 27. I'm not doing airport though, I signed up for ACE for the first Friday and the last Friday and Saturday. I don't know what came over me, but something possessed me to volunteer at Elgin on the Saturday. I don't know what was going through my head, but airport didn't sound interesting to me. When I went to the recruitment session I didn't know my schedule for school until last Friday. I don't know what came over me, but something possessed me to volunteer at Elgin on the Saturday. I don't know what was going through my head, but airport didn't sound interesting to me. I think Yvonne's still interested in volunteering, but I'm not sure anymore.

I just bought a copy of Run Lola Run on dvd for $14.99. Woohoo.

:)

movie thing--tomorrow...whenever you can come over?

movie thing in sept.--hmm...i'm not exactly sure if i can get us into the GALA opening, but definitely one of the screenings during that time...is that okay, galine?

(=

u girls just cuter and cuter =p

during the school year i went around researching different genocides. i think some of my greatest respect to break down (social activist group from erindale) was bringing light to some of those and the medias black out to them.

cgal i know so little about armenia =/. i know system of down is from there, i know u are from there, i know tid bits that u said about it and that they have been introduced to a fellow character named "T3".

Cameron

btw- what time on tuesday stina?

i know!incredible! this is so exciting for me!
system of a down brought some recognition to the situation but this is unbelievable. sorry for being so insane over this but it means a lot to me and i'm sure it will for many other armenians. this movie could educate many.

you can take me to the opening?!? are you serious?! cos i would LOVE to go! i'm there most definitely 100%%! let me know any info, and i'll take off that day from work right now! i'll love you forever...wow wow wow..

still shocked and amazed
cgal
xxx

cgal--it's directed by atom egoyan! he's armenian! :)) i saw him at a small screening in k-town last year for his little film of beckett's "krapp's last tape." ya know what--i'll take you to the opening if you want!

oooh...and i see the tiff site's been updated! wiicked...time to check out which films i wanna see this year!

(=

that sounds great stina.
sure was rach. :)

if i ever wine and complain about this summer kick my ass. it's been an awesome one. ..... its gonna get better too :)

OH my gosh!

i can't believe this! finally some recognition on the armenian genocide. this film should win all the awards. i'm so extremely shocked..and excited

stina, i have coaching now only on monday nights and i would be up for it after had my sis not been here for that day b4 she heads to BC. what about tuesday?
whatever works with u guys.

hey this saturday nite packed in everything we try do on a Sunday. bubble tea, tim hortins, renting a movie, etc.
i still havent danced for awhile but i didnt miss it at all. rach thanx for the ride*.

im posting sober now :).

Saturday, August 17, 2002

oh yeah, soundtrack of our lives and mercury rev played as well. how was it, marc???

(=

the other opener is sam roberts, no?

awww...no movie fest monday....then when? (not friday.)

(=

marc, there is another person opening aswell. i cant remember who at the moment but i think its a female.

Ok i blundered big time. after coaching and running into my home from the rain i left my wallet (ID) and cell phone in it. my parents took the car out to a family's friend house and wont be back for some time.

if we are doing something tonight could i get a ride? if its a movie at rachs or what not i can take my old ID and take the small trip. i just dont wanna risk driving anywhere far.

better question, who is saying whats going on? rach part out her thoughts, but odk wants out and marc is already is downtown...

stina, we watched SIGNS. from start til end. was pretty decent.
im good for the movie day but NOT this monday.

what movie did y'all see on thursday??
geez. everyone gets to go out while i'm stuck in here. :(

how 'bout shifting the movie fest to monday?? anybody, anybody?

criss--yep, i think i'm still volunteering for TIFF. i think i also have training on the 27th! are you doing airport? i also have to return yer dvd's....riiight...i don't think i'm going to the party afterwards though. i'll probably be in k-town that weekend. oh yeah--ain't yvonne volunteering too?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DON MCKELLAR!!! (i didn't think he was so old though!)

(=

marc, i was fine yesterday just drunk.
as u could tell my last post was more broken english then usual *l*

hey yesterday i used my head a bit. didnt chug back that beer when i was feeling drunk. didnt go into the 2nd irish pub when we were boarder line staying or leaving. (its a nice place but the crowd tends to be a bit older)

yeah i felt like dancing on fricken Thursday. i thought i would catch up and do the Spin Saturday but i dunno if im up to that anymore. renting a movie sounds pretty nice. i think im heading out with my family to a wedding "jack n jill". i should see them b4 they get married...... oh fuck... i just realized they are getting married on this long weekend coming up!!!!!! i dont wanna go...... noooooooo. UMF and Punk Fest at wassaga.. hymmmmmm *thinks*

rach, congrads on going back to school :). im envious. face it, your gonna make new friends :).
u saw me sobber during the day last weekend. u saw me sober at tim hortins on tuesday and sober for the movie of thursday. hello? you have only seen me drunk 3 times and thats not so bad seeing we went to the cottage

Oh yeah, I got my school schedule :o\ But I got Mondays off! Ow owwww. :)

Hey, that's right, Cam wasn't offensive tonight and doesn't have to apologize for anything! ; p

Christina, are you still doing the volunteer thing for TIFF? I have volunteer training on Aug 27th. I don't know why I added that part in since my question is Are you volunteering, or being in school? If your answer is no (to volunteering this year) then I want my DVDs back and just end this right here. :p Just kidding, but really...I don't want to go to the volunteer party all by myself!

Marc, what was the test at Humber for? One of those Guelph/Humber tests?

I don't know what I'm talking about. Goodnight, people.

;)

awwwww stina. il give u the addy when im sobber. just bug me.

i dont say sorry tonight but thank you. luv u all
plan for saturday later

hooray for the movie fest. i look forward to it!

OK i already said im sorry for NOT being able to go to Guv. 2night.
errrrr it just upsets me that someone else (rents) forced me into not going. 1st bc it was on the basis that its not right to go out on a work nite. why? just bc u will be sleepy. whatever. then it came down to bc i dont know what im doing in september. punishment? ummmmm between 9-2am i would be thinking about that? what do u guys do when your angry?

i dunno i left my house pretty upset today but as soon as i was with you guys things were good. thanks.

too tired to write, but there's one thing i must reply to

cammie: I LOVE THAT COMMERCIAL! it's terrible! i swear to you, subliminal messages or something, the ad just //makes// you want to buy those shoes. they look so, bouncy, comfortable, perfect. the music just gets me going too. i'm in love with that commercial. and the girl looks so innocent in the end. i absolutely hate that style with the bandana + braids, but she pulls it off wonderfully. after all, she is wearing those crazy cool shoes. damn nike indeed!!! it made we want to rush out and buy a pair, even though they don't match A N Y T H I N G i own!
and also, you bringing up the english patient, you were watching seinfield weren't you! lol. that movie has to be good *although i've never seen it* it's based on the novel by michael ondattjee and he's canadian. //woo!//*

i'm off!
cgal
ps: rachie, i love that dress!

half cool i would say.
has anyone visted the bar at saga city?

jared leto is gonna be in mississauga next weekend:

"

how cool is that?!

(=

marc do u know if u can get us guess list or not?

what are u doing there exactly?? i cant stay too late but it sounds good.
awesome pixs. eek, i was gone.
appears like i had fallen over again in the camping pic and that someone is holding a drink for me at the checker table.

midsummer's nite dream in the park is now up in barrie.
why is it that i have to live here and not there??

later,
Cameron Bay.

okay. who the hell would want to buy a friggin' microphone signed by john mayer?!??? i was almost sure it had to be a joke, except the seller doesn't seem to be fake.
oh, and there's some story about him banging some 17 year old girl after a concert somewhere. hahahha...i believe it, too!

got my tmbg tkts! yay! they're playing a free concert at central park summerstage in ny today to celebrate their 20th anniversary! isn't that cool? the band is as old as we are! tND is also playing a free concert in ny today at pier 54, by the hudson river. why is it that i have to live here and not there??

the early show =/. i get of work at 4 so i could never make it. i was just listening to there stuff again and well it sounds like it would be a great show. have funz :)
*haha and for the guvernment guest list.... sorry about that last time. i was just a lil fricken ruched on time and just wanted to get in. hymmmm wasnt i a bit gone when we got there?? i luved that nite!

nike those bastards, what a fricken ad they put out. the girl skipping out of her room and into class without stepping on the ground. the music, the scenes, the girls look..... awesome.

i was just watching sienfield and it got me thinking.
What do you guys think of the movie "the English Paitent"?
Olly shit, i just luv the end to moulin rouge..... last 30mins or so. maybe im a sap but i think they do an awesome job.

LOL, on fraiser they are playing a drinking game to the antique road show. drink everytime they say "vanier"

cliff, haha i dunno what to say to that. im just going to get drunk next time and not sick.

In Heaven.
You're mysterious, picky, and a bit aloof. Some people say you have a very cheery personality, but it's hard to say because you mask your emotions behind dark pretenses. You enjoy watching obscure movies and going to plays, but by the end of the day you're usually too wound-up by the ironies of your life to relax.
Which Pixies song are you?

now you know things have gone too far. mr. mayer's cd actually has objectionable content! :D he's also in the latest issue of every possible magazine you can think of. geeeez. including rolling stone--for like the gazillionth consecutive time since february or something!

cam--i think i'm gonna get tkts tomorrow. for the early show. unfortunately, there's some curfew that forces them to finish at 6:45 or something. the show starts at around 5. yuck. i wish we could make it for the midnite show, but then how the heck would we get home?!
btw--how old is lisa? she looked like she was 16 or something! but cool--we have guv hook-ups!!!!! :)) yer guestlist stuff didn't help our wallets very much last time, did it?

(=

ah the man with the tickets?
so did u give out tickets for "favours"

cliff, what did u think of smirnoff in the end? is it your friend or foe?

haha marc, i luv your sum up of the canadian tire workers.
im known at work for knowing things about everyone else there.
i have heard almost everything under the sun but no satan devil mumbles.

stina, not even close eh. i think they are imposters. the clothes and hair is and whiteness just seems more then a fluke.
(unless this was some sort of 70's fashion statement that was popular back then)

lisa promotes for paradise thursday at guv and offered to hook us up for the guv on any nite. so yeah, just need to call her =S
maybe??. i dunno i have a couple of guest list numbers aswell. hymmmm i have to get up at 6:30am the next day so i plan on staying not so late. i should take a nap i think b4 going. :)

Crassy do u really hate ppl? do u think u should have booked that kid for almost shoplifting?

cliff, u make drinks?

**stina, what TMBG time show are u going too? when do u plan on getting tickets?**

Cameron

Aw, poor Marc. I have problems just with customers, but Marc's stuck with imbeciles for co-workers...hey man ya still gotta love em. That's okay Cliff, I usually just guess what the prices of our game rentals are. "Uh, $5.99?" "Okay, thanks" I wouldn't have to if they just stopped changing the prices of them, geez!
Let's all huddle and vent out our retail experiences, shall we? Oh come on, it'll make ya feel better. ;)

Chris, I love the advice column. Esp the part about the tampons, lol, Shoulda seen my reaction, what? tampons? pens? I don't get it? Haha, Mayer's funny. He's also in my EWeekly, there's a 2 page spread on him. It's the one with American Idols on the front or whatever it's called. And I know what a dumbass, "Trainspotting"...obvious even to me, that it's only one word. And not two.

Gah, I"m gonna be late for work!

someone stop this. mayer is everywhere. he's in freaking seventeen magazine!!! and on alloy! jesus!!!

(=

if i go to the show next week (still need to get the tkts!!), i'm getting this! i love the description! :D (not that i have much to show, but whatever.)

oh my. john mayer in the latest issue of spin magazine [he got to do the love advice column]:

"I live across from my girlfriend in our dorm, and it's getting in the way of me hooking up with other girls. What should i do? D.W., Boston

You could line your room with high-grade concentrated asbestos, fake an illness, and get the room condemned. Then move to a youth hostel on the other side of town and bang European chicks. You instantly become sympathetic for having had a near-death experience!

I am really shy about having very small breasts. I wear padded push-up bras but am uncomfortable with the false advertising. H.E., Amityville, New York

The idea that guys enjoy breasts more than anything else is antiquated. Thanks to internet thumbnail porn, men are completely desensitized to breasts. They're like pennies: You can take them or leave them. Throw away the pads!

I am having a long distance relationship with a girl in London. How can we keep the fires burning? S.L., New York City

Invest all your energy in phone sex. Get back issues of Penthouse, and go straight to the letters section. You need at least 20 to 25 synonyms for each body part. Then use them accordingly each Saturday night.

There's a girl who sits next to me in class, and we talk all the time. I want to take it to the next level, but if she doesn't want to go out with me, it would be awkward to see her every day. What do i do? B.K., Miami

Try getting her in trouble so that you both get held after class and you have an excuse to talk to her. Or every time you see her, ask to borrow a pen. When you have all her pens, she'll have to start asking you for hers, which is when you say, "Well, I'm afraid I left them all at home. You'll have to stop by and pick them up." Finally, have a variety of tampons on hand because it makes you look incredibly thoughtful. Accidentally let one fall out of your backpack. That's when you say, "Well, you never know when someone is going to need one."
"

it was hilarious watching him sing your body is a wonderland last nite as well!!! :D

(=

oh man. i love all your work stories!! :D but i can especially relate to crissandra's!!! freaking kids. and i'll tell you why you couldn't think of the "drug movie w/ a girl in it." 'cause (s)he said it was freaking TWO WORDS! moron. _trainspotting_. one.

cam--definitely NOT the white stripes!!!

i'm going stir crazy and i can't make myself study!!! THIS SUCKS ASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i obviously can't go to the guv. does lisa know the bouncer or something?
who's in for movie fest day again? karen, cam, yvonne...?

(=

Oh, yeah, can you believe this customer at work was trying to get me to remember the name of a "drug movie with a girl in it, that's not old old, and isn't that new and is also two words". After about 30 suggestions and several "Are you sure you don't know know anything else about it?"'s

It ended up being Trainspotting. Why didn't I think of that one?

Today was a full day of...hmmm...how do you explain...
Remember in Empire Records, whatsit's name, Ethan Randall's character:
(On the phone)
"Empire Records, open till midnight,"
(Pause)
"Midnight!"

Pretty much sums it up.
All these really little things that I've rolled off my back (excluding movie trivia, which is still fun) that I never thought to think twice of, is starting to slowly suck up all my patience, making me grow into a hateful old woman with a burning, fiery hatred inside her. I know what you're thinking, you're going to tell me that it's just gas, but it really isn't. I hate people. I really, really.....really, really, reallly hate people. I think I almost had a breakdown, lol.

I told this guy, after arguing in front of a line-up for about 6 or 7 minutes now, and I was explaining the reasoning behind my decision and the logistics of the circumstances and even offered him some alternate solutions, "Look, I'm a really nice person, okay! But I can't rent to you!" (his mom's account specifically instructs us not to rent to him).

Weirdest moment of the (work) day:
Kid (12 yrs old?): "Do you have any copies of Deuce Wild for sale?"
Me: "No, sorry, only for rent,"
Kid: "Okay, thanks." [Walks through the alarm sensors and beeps]
Me: [As it's a routine to ask what set off the alarm] "Did you have a library book or a security card or something?"
Kid: [Looks at me like, "Oh shit"] [Pulls a copy of Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back on VHS out of his left pant pocket] "Sorry,"
[Walks away, nochalantly]
Me: [Stunned as that was so not expected] 2 mins later..."Sorry"?!?!??? "Sorry" for almost shoplifting?...

Cliff, that's so cool I didn't know that!
I didn't count nearly as many shooting stars as others, but that's okay. The ones that counted 17 or higher were drunk anyway. ;)

Er...I posted thinking I had a lot of things to say...I guess...I don't.
Oh yeah, I think I caught Nadine's memory problem.
;\

well stina, your probally right
that im a phreak and the white stripes were not in it.

but the perception is easy to see. i DL the daddy video and got screen shots of the characters who may or may not be the stripes. u decide:

Stina i know u know who moby is from b4. we talked about his house on here or something like that b4. do you really remember his older work though? "everytime you touch me?

its great to have karen back! showing of skin (under her glasses!) =o. Thursday Guv.

marc, u slapped her ass? haha. meh, i dont think she would hold something like that against u. call her up boy. see whats she doing. good luck on your test!

galine--i LOVE YOU!!!!! yessssss.......i can finally see the grad episode!!!!!!
yep, she's the moron w/ the piano. :D i don't like her...but those 2 songs are turning decent on me.

cam--phreak. do you think i just discovered who moby is?!
and i'm quite sure that the white stripes weren't in goldmember.
but cameron crowe was in minority report!

(=

side geeky notes.
i was running searchs to see if the white strips were in austin powers 3 or not.

newhoo i came across the Video for Dead Leaves and Dirty Ground. I think its fairly new and surprisingly it was on www.ifilm.com aswell. link link

Synopsis: "You can clean up after the party's over, but you can never forget."-ifilm
:) so fucking true eh?

and stina, u can think about more Mr. and Ms. white stripe connections as he lays in bed and she ghostly figure of her packs up and sneaks out.

i hope i wasnt supposed to be bothering u as u study for your exams. if so, il say this was for your morale and overall motivation to succeed.

- - headphones - - (wambam - sonice empire)

"that moron with a piano" haha
i luv ya cgal
especially the "bad bad galine" *l*

yay karen, u got enough summer to go buy binders for next summer *l*. OK OK i think im in for guvernment on thursday.
marc, would u like to call lisa to invite and G-list us=?
Sundays they still have roller skating at guv.... anyone interested in doing that sometime?? http://www.theguvernment.com/RollaBoogie.html

well BC is getting there bar hours extended to 4am and a policy that allows ppl to bring there unfinished drink home!
ontario today has looked into following suit with the later hours. =p

eesh what else have u guys said?
Stina!!! a lil late for catching onto moby but good stuff. i think he does bring things to another level (like radio head) but keeps a sound that i feel like dancing too. funny how pop radio and many others critisized moby for being to fast.
when do u plan on having this "movie fest"?

cgal, when was is the urban music fest. i wanna go! =). il search for info.

OMG watch the "Buckley insurance add". it's shown on the The New VR and it shows a guy with a hole in the midle of his head. Sounds like the girl says "why dont we have 'fuck me' insurance".

anyone here how nadine is doing?

Later,
Cameron

*ps computer and icq seem to be doing well

why did i stumble upon this site again? *bad bad galine* lol

okay honestly: that episode wraped everything up. it was depressing, sad, kinda jumbled all together for an ending i guess, but it all made sense in the end. it was all good. don't tell me it gets all stupid. i'll consider this episode the last one. but of course i shall still watch the others..:D i love scott speedman! he got more gorgeous along the years. but yah the whispering gets annoying. all they do is whisper. if we all talked like that i think we'd be extremely mellow with no cares in the world. i mean, look at felicity, her boyfriend gets another girl pregnant, decides to be a father to the child, and she is pretty much cool with it. S U R E! but yah. he's hot. enough said. look at those pictures..mm;)

you know what? i'm a moron. i have the episode taped! i didn't realize because i was going to tape over it today but i didn't. so i'll save it for you, and you can borrow it! i'll just keep taping the final episodes of felicity on there so if you miss 'em all, you can watch. aren't i the greatest? i know;)

i'm off for now i swear this is the last time.

adddddicted.

..cgal
ps. vanessa carlton. is that the moron with the piano? please don't tell me that you're starting to like her christina! eeek!

there are more. they totally should have ended it there, 'cause the next few episodes are just strange, but they didn't. i think they intended to end it w/ the grad episode, but some stupid person decided to continue it. i think the cast said somewhere that they consider the grad ep to be the final one though. why didn't you tape it?! ahhh....they must air it again.
and i thought you said before that you didn't think scott speedman was all that great?! or did you just not like his character? (i've always hated how he whisper-talks. felicity does it too. it can get kind of annoying if you notice that they do it ALL the time.) oh well. glad i was wrong!

okay. posting too much. but one more thing--
after listening to vanessa carlton's ordinary day way too much lately, i've noticed that her singing style is sometimes like--get this--raine maida's from OLP. especially near the end of the song. she sort of does that weirdish nasal whine thing too...ya know what i mean? maybe not.

(=

it's not over?! you mean there's more?!?! but that..pretty much..seemed finished?!..cos i remember you sent me a link with an interview and they were saying that the last episode was graduation and it was hard to do because nothing was going right and scott was directing it blah blah blah. but if it's not over, i'm so extremely happy right now.

YAYYY MORE FELICITY!!!

oh dear I need help.
and omg I love you for finding the songs! how the hell did you find them?! you have some crazy sources woman!

hi...christina! hahaha
these messages are pretty much directed at you:)
IT WAS THE GRAD EPISODE! I knew it was the final one because it was directed by scott foley. and of course, they graduated. YOU DIDN'T SEE IT?!?!?! my god i'm ashamed of you. i didn't think it was going to be the last episode so early but i'm guessing it is. a b s o l u t e l y depressing! you have to find it online or something, or perhaps they'll re-air it next week.

yah..i'm..obsessed. haha. i've always thought he was gorgeous. but during the last season: did he get hotter or what?;) and if they do come out with a felicity box set, i'll definitely buy it. regardless of the cost. i'll just ask for it as a gift for some holiday. ha ha ha i'm evil.

we should start a "we love scott" club. hahaha

//scott lovers unite!

i'm off. i promise:)
