dispite how much fun my last post was 2nite really surpased it!

diner was good although it seemed like a bit of a wait for the food. no real matter as most of us were sticking around to party. the staff was nice hear and overall the crowd was pretty good. that all aside it was great with everyone together. marc was a humerous drinker. i think we are a pretty unique group of ppl that all link arms and share not 1 but 3 dances!? haha it was so sweet.

I was already buzzing after a few drinks but I think it was after Marc's (thanks again :) Tequiler shots that I really started to get tipsy. I was already pretty excited and generally in a really good mood while I was sober so the alcohol was really just a bonus. "Crissandra, are you drunk?" lol.

I'd have to say that it was a very unusual, very non-911 Wednesday-ish night last night. The crowd got pretty ugly and it was really crowded. I promise everyone it's just not like that on a normal Wednesday. I have Nadine to vouch for that!! But I can truly understand why you woulda found it creepy or whatnot. Rosemary and Erwin only came in for a while before they really started to dislike the place and call it a night.

LoTR: pt. 2 was GREAAAT. i really enjoyed it. think i liked it even more than the first one. and it was cool to think back about the stuff i saw at the exhibit. like the bows and arrows and swords and stuff they used. :)
but the previews before the movie had a weird theme; they were mainly all prequels or sequels to "blah" movies (i.e. terminator...gawd...and dumb and dumber....ahhh....final destination...geeez....and bad boys looked kinda okay...).
and okay. i'm an orlando bloom convert now, too. he got me in this one. i'm a believer now. :P

the trip to ottawa was just to have christmas with godson. the boy is far tooo funny and cute sometimes. i should have brought a camera but i did get a couple of portait pics. he's all about the wiggles group and goes around singing (quack, quack, quack) even in his sleep. his timing and ability to know when a question asked is great. his responses to them are only "okay", "no", and "dere u go, tank you". anywhoo that's how i spent most the weekend. my cuz john and i had a marthon battles of mario kart playing 108 consecutive matchs. he had 3 more wins then me.

i had a work christmas "party" if that's what you'd like to call it, in milton. yes, milton. my bitch of a boss holds it there, at another employees house. why? because it's convinient for her...what ever happened to hosting parties at jack astors or something? across from the mall, easy for the majority of us to get there. of course it had to snow, and i don't mind the snow at all it was absolutely beautiful. except the 2 girls i went with were making me nervous. the one who wasn't driving got into an accident a long time ago, in snow weather, on the highway, so she's freaking out and asking to take the side roads even though it's much worse on them. then the bitch of a driver decides to say "well, it's not the highway i'm worried about, it's getting off, the ramp is going to be dangerous" no it's fucking not you moron. but it's as if she said it to make the other girl nervous, so i told her to shutup and she told me "well, i'm being honest" i told her she could be honest in her mind and shut the fuck up because she was only making the other chick nervous and pissing me right off. never again, never again.

Cam, for your 1st and 2nd semestersthey give you all of your courses, kinda like in high school. You don't have any optional GNEDs until 3rd semester...then you can use the CHRIS phones.

I love those CHRIS phones. The days I had to choose my gen eds I would just roll over at 8 am, dial (trial and error), and go back to sleep. :O)

I just did a kickass presentation on my thesis for the Dangerous Lives of Altar Boys. I created the most awesome looking handout that everyone was supposed to follow along to, but with the circumstances surrounding (last week of school=my presentation to a very antsy small crowd of 9 out of 35 students...the last of the batch of 5 to present=no one would appreciate it enough and my psychic ability to see my precious handouts strewn across the tables), I didn't hand any out. $6, down the drain. So, everyone, expect to see a two-sided one page handout on how "Francis Doyle challenges a tragic ending with the help of the people in his life and his surroundings" in your Christmas cards. Dammit, it is soy good!

just put some on some tissue and wipe your eyes with it

I watched and read the Importance of Being Earnest. I read it before I watched it, so even just picturing the scenarios in my head were hilarious. And the parts that I watched in the movie that I didn't understand in the book (like when somebody's lying or being sarcastic) were even more hilarious when I watched it. Very very good. But Cgal maybe if we had a movie fest (we all know it's about time one's due) we can watch it, I wouldn't mind sitting through it again!

i just came back from kid menace masonic show.
i waited til after the leaf's dissapointing hockey game got finished and left at 10 to catch KM play at 10. on the short 1 street trip to the massonic an ambulance is trailing after me. i park and notice it parked outside the venue and a cop car pulling up aswell. i wondered if i should just walk back but figured i should atleast figure out wtf is going on. it was just some drunk person who was sick i think in the end. so it was a free show but i had to wait for 2 full sets b4 kid menace would be on. it was packed with mainly HS girls and the bands were pretty good. a few guys with there leather patched jackets felt liked they needed to be the center of attention the entire time. they crashed into the ppl standing all the time and annoyed me to no end. i spent most the time having short talks with ppl from FX and with some guy who was going to film the show. haha he had cologne on and a sweater so i figured he was feeling as out of place as me. finaly kid menace took the stage at around 12 and played out mainly new material. i actually took the set list if u really want to know the tracks.
rants // anyways katrina stood infront of me infront of the stage. a few of the guys (a couple of girls) who i had mentioned earlier would crash through into our backs now and then and we would shove them away. i was pretty ticked of with them all nite but now i was trying to listen to the band, take care of the ppl infront of me, and i had lost paitence. on a brighter side of things the guy standing beside me who i didnt know was thinking likewise as i had seen him help sheild the girls aswell. it wasnt long til 3 of them came crashing into our backs i followed through with a check knocking all of them down to the floor. the big guy beside me helped too and almost when crashing down with the lot. the guys were a bit shook up from that and were on edge to fight but the no body swung. there was a girl who was with them that was a bit slow to get up. the whole bit upset me other then a fact it ended there and they fucked on there own. i was happy to see that there was no smoking in the venue and some ppl helped enforce it. // end rant

there songs were rather good. they didnt play california's dead which kinda puzzled me bc i thought they were filming that. jon's voice held on pretty well and sean was unable to sober up. he gave me the mic for frank sinatra and there were quite a few ppl having fun with that one.

handed in my HMV bonus card to get it too but ummmm i didnt get a signature for the 2nd disk of that album but it's OK.

the LOTR the 2 tower exhibit was pretty fricken awesome. (the stuff stina didnt tell u)
the rebuilt pretty much every setting from the movie and filled them with show cases of the artifacts from the movie. i expects 4 at most 5 settings but they pulled out all the stops.
the misty woods - water falls, giant mossy trees, rocky ground, hobit costumes
the great hall - royal dresses, stamp, wormtoungs banishment paper, royal chair, sadles, etc
helms deep - all thypes of spears, a giant wall with the sounds of the orc below and a lader reaching up
the glittering caves - pretty, we tossed a penny into its waters :)
the glass window - waterfall with light pearing through
the dead marshs - complete with 3 bodies just submerged under it
saurmons layer - the fortune tellers stone +
arwens bedroom - liv tylers dress and bed. such a pretty elvish throw was hung on her wall.
the fallen city - a large broken statchue and stair turrning to rubble. great lighting.

all those connected rooms were filled with artifacts from pretty much everything u can think of importnace in the movies. all the main characters and other characters costumes, weapons, pipes, letters, maps, books, clasps, horns, sadles, etc
each room had atleast 1 flat screen TV running different trailers of the movie. in one place particular everyone stopped to view this one trailer. it was pretty dramatic.

went in the Vice store for the first time and the newest eddition had such a nice cover i had to pick it up. one of the best ones i have ever seen. meat beat manifesto article.

nadine perhaps it was just the one eppisode i saw that was just that crappy. maybe.

brendan benson's record label just said that they would send me his cd regardless of whether my cheque would go through or not (they're american...i sent a TD cheque)...i was totally contemplating just getting his cd today 'cause i'm pretty sure the cheque won't go through...
i bought craploads of cd's today. cam can attest.
first we picked up a zillion tND NYE flyers from this dude's place on queen st. w. by spadina, and then we found rotate this where i MIRACULOUSLY found the motherload of home vol. 4 ep's (which are supposedly limited to 2000 and completely sold out and out of print....um.....riiight.....)!! when i saw the guy pulling out another copy of the cd, i asked for 2, and he was like, "you sure you don't want 3?" nah, i'm not that greedy. spoon's "kill the moonlight" was sold-out there though. oh, and then we got our NYE tkts. then we had gourmet-ish pizza and i dropped 1/4 of it on the floor. then we went and threw some flyers around and headed up to the planetarium where we went to see the LOTR exhibit!!!
it was really wicked. we walked through recreations of the locations in the 2nd movie. there were glittery caverns and waterfalls and the dead marshes (w/ fake dead ppl in the water) and we even got to see "the ring." ooooh...the exhibit was supposed to be over on dec. 1, but they extended it a week just for meee! :)) very worth the $12. the program book you get is quite nice as well.
then we headed to soundscapes where i bought 3 more cd's. i need to win the lottery this christmas to make up for all the $$ i'm spending right now....or at least sell those interpol tkts and maybe my extra home vol. 4 ep.... ;) i finally got kill the moonlight, the new live at the bowery ballroom tND double discs, and broken social scene's "you forgot it in ppl." the last cd is pretty darned good, and i'm listening to the tND one now.
but here's the cool part!!! after i bought the cd's, i noticed that one of the guys working there is one of the guitarists from the constantines!!! the one that i've always thought is kinda cute! :D (i'm sure you all are not half as nearly as excited as i am by this news. but you have never witnessed one of their kickass live shows. too bad.) i guess his being an employee would explain the threegutrecords t-shirts they're selling there. and the affordable price for their latest ep. i was so damned starstruck!!!

I'm 2 hours early for class. I mixed up today with next Thursday, the real day we're supposed to come in early for our exam. Go me. Last night I studied for this exam like a mad woman only to end up knowing less than what I knew before I studied, lol. I could have slept in 2 extra hours. How miserable.

I'm going post-crazy but I have time to kill. Corey just showed me this cartoon dude named Agent #2 from Spy Groove who she thought was hot. I was a little deeply concerned for her cartoon lustings until she showed me who he was. Wow. He looks like Luke Perry!

This whole time I thought our school was known most for its gang-related school violence!

..crissandra, i just read your post. you're better off staying at home than going to school and throwing up all over your teacher! i know it's a horrible feeling when you miss class on a day of an assignment or presentation, whatever it may be, but you did the right thing by staying home! chances are even if you do feel better now, as soon as you get outside and trek to school, you'll start feeling worse. it's better to recover completely than to push yourself to do something and you'll only get weaker. don't stress. leave that up to me;)

I feel like such a dumbass. Yesterday I think I had the flu or whatever. My whole body felt sore, throwing up all day. (Nice!) Etc. I could hardly walk without wanting to start crying or yelling at something. I was really angry. And I was really worried because I had a presentation to do today for my Gen. Ed. course. Of course, not being the one to want to throw up during my own presentation, I left a message on my teacher's voicemail telling him that I wasn't coming today and if there was any arrangement I could make (so as not to fail the course). But the thing is that I feel so much better right now. Sure, I still don't have a voice and the headaches are minimal, but what if he fails me? *grrr*

just got some sour news. my mom just came in from a nite out with her friends. (her friends are my best friends mothers from grade school). well she came to fill me in on how the boys were doing. 1 of my best friends is suffering from some bad anxiety. we were so close at one time that we told each other everthing or just had a way of knowing how the other feeling. i wish i could help him now but the last time i saw him was around christmas last year. im a bit worried about him but i believe he will be able to pick himself up. (at the same time im hoping he doesnt endanger his life in anyway)

watched the diary of Christina Agualaria today. it was pretty cool seeing the bit i saw her with. getting recognized and worked over for her SINGING!. i also liked hearing how the lable pushed her around and worked her to the bone. (not saying it was nice just liked hearing about it). she blew up as a star really quickly and when genie in a bottle came out she still wanted to go to prom. she went with a friend and got dirty looks from the other girls and guys wouldnt talk to her bc there girls wouldnt like it. the dj had a copy of genie in a bottle and when he played it every single person cleared the dance floor! christina left prom early.
awwwww. first time i saw her out of the light in the media as just being a skank.

mariah was on oprah today (not that i watch oprah but sometimes if i see the guest i sometimes stop). nice hearing about how she cracked. she's another Hamlet character eh =p.

bono was on larry king live on dec 1st for international aids day. he had some good good points. gotta respect him a bit.

as for musicals, the smartest way to see the good stuff efficiently and cheap is to freaking move to ny where they have wicked concepts such as the "rush line" and "SRO" and "lottery." those are some magic words right there. (of course, the amt you save on going to see musicals is probably more than made up for in rent, buuut yeeaaah...) speaking of ny, i'm going again! dec. 26-29. yay yay yay yay yay. here i come (hopefully), hairspray, the producers, and anything else that i've been missing out on 'cause i'm so outta the loop. ooh, and i think the soup nazi is actually open, too.

i spent a bajillion $$ today at square one. shopping is evil. got the spek cd for $7.99, although i could've gotten it for free if i'd only gotten up off my butt in k-town and walked over to the journal house and taken the promo copy they have there and written a review for it. but that involves too much work anyway.

With the mention that new year's will only cost us $85 just to party as opposed to $120, I think a lot of us (me) have changed our (my) minds. it had me on the edge of my seat. the phantom scarred me a bit and his whole lil spooky surroundings.
the music i found to be so powerful. gives me that same feeling as when a train roars into a station.
the storry, i was keen to follow it.

Tommy, well as i said earlier i forgot completly about it. i think we have the tape of it around our house somewhere but i dont know. it was my sisters. anyways i only recall certain scenes. his bed spinnig about and when he did play pin ball. ahhhhh rock on tommy boy =p.

I think my family is going to buy Les Mis so im happy about that. that was a pretty good one. the only show that i really didnt like was Joseph. mama mia was cheezy too but it wasn't bad. joseph had some songs but i have enjoyed highschool preformances much more.

crassy u were talking about the costs. eek they are crazy. i figure when im in my older 20's il catch up on a few of the shows.
or maybe then il go catch hockey games, some mega star concerts, and return back to raving??
