cam, i'm ashamed you don't know.
obviously--the T-DOT!!!
:P

christine and i were supposed to start our formal yoga training today, but as soon as i left the journal house, i felt sick. :( boooo.

congrads crassy,
i'm glad you have been reading to. much love to you.
(i squeeked that in b4 cgal did). hope you like your job =)

i had my 6hr nap luckily on sunday. i only recovered from saturday late monday.
i made sure i didnt wake you up a minute early for your "10min" nap at school today marc. you looked like you needed every min. good job on making it to today.

stina, what is the hometown of tND? they have a half page add for them in Eye weekly and a contest (to which that was the skill testing question). congrads on your flyer role position.

odk, u didnt look like a panda yesterday. bobby at stfx reminded me of a panda.

oh and i actually learned some things today at school. I found out today about the Stanford Prison Experiment. It was a bit disturbing but really blew my mind. I might post more on it later, it;s a popular topic if u wish to search for it.

so i have been in this Music movie frenzy the last few days. Yesterday i picked up the Chemical Brothers DVD. I already had a fair amount of the live footage on the disc but it was all worth it. there was no footage from the hershey show but the crowd in fugi was very active. i had a pretty big gleaming smile seeing the boys outside the Warehouse from the 97 show speaking to some guys.

*fights with my pc dvd player*

Aw Cgal, why'd you drop a class? Btw, I loved watching the Munsters. I always wondered if the older sister was aware of just *how* different she was from her family? I used to watch that show everyday at 5 am when I went through bedtime issues as a kid. That's how I got hooked on I Love Lucy re-runs. Lucy is my hero.

Nice try, Cam. "16 yr teen guide sauga - (crassy can help u out with this)" What did I ever do to you! At least I'm not stalking the Olsen twins. Btw, NBC's on a different channel now. Channel 15 is now officially Toronto 1, the new Toronto / multi-cultural channel. One of the girls in my graduating class has a job in Promotions for MTV, MTV1 and some other channel. Promotions! What a sweet-ass job.

Speaking of which, I just went in for my sort of interview for a temporary part time job at a media buying services agency. I'll be working there 3 days a week (Mon / Tues / Fri) for the next month or so. It's nothing great but it's a start, right? The place is called Carat and I'll be working mostly on the Ikea and Cogeco accounts. They handle MGM, Home Theatre and movie buying (?) or something like that. I can't wait to start on the MGM account. Yipee!

Karen, it's probably too late but I think it'd be interesting to make a guide to T.O.'s most expensive places to visit (for the travelling connoisseur...which I probably just spelt wrong). Starting with hotels (Royal York), plays (take your pick), restaurants (The Canoe), etc.

i dropped another class. now i only have 2.
i feel like i'm slowly just dropping out.
how fun!

mr. b's kid is the cutest thing ever!! :D
funnier still is the fact that jon & katrina's kid is older. ;P

HAHAHA--apparently i am the new tND flyer hq for k-town. i guess that dude andrew graduated.

Top Ten Reasons why University is like Preschool:
10. You cry for your mother.
9. You cross the street without looking for cars.
8. Snack time is a necessity.
7. You bundle up for the outdoors without caring what you look like
6. You stay at home and play games with your friends.
5. You wear your backpack on both shoulders.
4. You never eat what you are supposed to eat, and don't eat what
you're supposed to eat.
3. Playing in the rain is a completely legitimate activity.
2. You take naps.
1. You can't remember all of your classmates' names.
------------
You Know you've been in University too long when:
A Kilometre is not too far to walk for a party
You wear dirty socks three times in a row and think nothing of it
You'd rather clean than study (isn't that weird?)
You utter "Damn! How did it get so late!" at least once a night.
Often you don't wake up in your own bed and it seems normal.
Minesweeper (Snood, Counter Strike, or solitaire) is more than a game -
it's a way of life.
You schedule your classes around sleep habits and soaps.
You go to sleep when it's light and get up when it's dark.
You live for getting your mail, even junk mail.
Looking out the window is another form of entertainment.
Prank phone calls become funny again.
It feels weird to take a shower without shoes.
You start thinking and sounding like your roommate.
Black lights and highlighters are the coolest things on earth.
Rearranging your room is your favorite pastime.
Your only source of money is Meal Points.
The weekend lasts from Thursday to Sunday
------------
At University I LEARNED...
That it didn't matter how late I scheduled my first class, I'd sleep
through it.
That I could change so much and barely realize it.
That you can love a lot of people in a lot of different ways.
That if you wear polyester everyone will ask why you are so dressed up.
That every clock on campus shows a different time.
That if you were smart in high school, so what?
That I would go to a party the night before a final.
That you can know everything and fail a test.
That you can know nothing and ace a test.
That Home is a great place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there.
That most of my education would be obtained outside of class.
That friendship is more than getting drunk together.
That I would be one of those people that my parents warned me about.
That Sunday is a figment of the world's imagination.
That Psychology is really Biology, Biology is really Chemistry,
Chemistry is really Physics and Physics is really Math.
That my parents would become so much smarter in the last few years.
That it's possible to be alone even when you are surrounded by friends.
That friends are what makes this place so worthwhile!

i was out for the count after that last post.
i took an "urgent" phone msg for my parents as i posted that. only thing was that i thought i was talking to someone else and had my parents trying to call the wrong person. we figured out who it was now and it was just to take some prunes of a tree.

i told my parents about last night minus getting sick. i'm feeling alot worse today then i did last night. so sleepy.
i have a test 2morrow morning but all i want to do is sleep. if i try take a nap now next time il wake up is 2morrow for school. oh well.

omg, what a nutty drunky party last nite was.
thanks a shit load marc for driving and everything.

411, we went to luarier bush party. 25$ all u can drink and they served blue. i'm still a bit drunk now. the instant abbs workout helped. haha
good good times.

the photos:password: "P _ _ _" party

they are fukin funny. i can't share them to everyone agrees.

maybe il post storries later.

galine, love ya :).

so so tired. worked 9:30am -5pm.
cammie: ohhhh, now i get it. in response to christinas "i think i recall someone PINING to go back to school only a few short weeks ago... ;P" she's absolutely right. i take that back tenfold. i hate it.
i'm really sorry about missing the party. i wanted to go so badly i just really haven't felt like myself lately. but i promise we'll catch another show, even if it's not the greatest one. hopefully goldie was smashed out of his mind and the show sucked ass. that, or i hope it was packed to the max making it hard to enjoy oneself;)
i love everyone. i'm just short of love right now;)
out and out
cgalxx

LOL, the most drunken post on blogger thus far!
=)

crazy ktown kids.

thanks for the heads up cliff. i didnt think that one looked good dispite having sharon stone on in it.
i was a bit interested in seeing Cabin Fever.

cgal, it's ok that we missed the best jungle party likely to hit here in years ;)
i have been running and getting in shape but probally wasnt ready for that task in hand.
the reply i was interested in was your responses to stina's observation how you "missed school" ;)
awww, i think that is the first post you didnt say u loved someone. *tear*. =p

i'm watching MTVcanada select on (nbc?). I saw a tv commercial exclusivly to buy Jason Mraz. Lots of ppl know that one.
I found some of my old music video tapes. Anyways, it's all being cataloged and maybe bits will be encoded. Most are incomplete specials but some great pieces.

i'm pretty happy. I think i scored perfect or close to it on my managment test. I didn't buy the text for that class to so I saved a few dollars aswell :).

HAhHhH...I'tS Andria and party at Christina's......booze everywerhe! Make it stop!
I'v runined to compuyter with Erin and Mike but we're still firends. Pig fucker!!!!!!! I dream of smelly germans! love me That's what mIke s\\]

i wonder how cgal will reply
huh?
i'm so confused.......
i'm incredibly sorry about the party today. completly slipped my mind as everything else has. my $$ has been so low and time to breathe so limited, so i've opted for sleeping any spare time i have away. how do you all do it? going out, drinking, etcetcetc. i've never been one to drink, but i can't even find the time to drag myself out of bed and do anything productive. i'm slipping this year. dropped my course i rushed to get into. 8:30 am tutorials just weren't sounding appealing to me among other things.
this probably makes no sense so i'll write more later i guess.
cgalxx
ps. 'the munsters' is a great older tv show. black&white and i love it.it's on at 8am,but i watched a couple, having to be up so damn early, and they're so lovely. does anyone know what i'm talking about....

no prob, karen. harrass away. i check all my addresses.

Thursday, September 25, 2003

no...is it about the volunteer appreciation party?? well, i haven't been home all day. maybe they left a msg? i dunno. i can't make it anyway.

cam, that wasn't the uptown. that was the varsity. the uptown is much, much more cool. you guys should go see something there before they shut down.

7:55am, just made it to school in time avoiding the blocked of 427N truck accident. (it hit the go tracks)
started my test at 8:20 am, left midway through for a fire alarm and finished it at 9:15
thus started the over 5 hour break =p
instead of sleeping i hit the gym for 3hrs.

uptown, we saw The Importance of being ....? there.

something smells, im leaving the lab.

btw, sign this if you would like to save the uptown theatre. i love that place.

i don't particularly like this band (they sound like they want to be coldplay and bends-era radiohead--some of their songs even sound like they could fit in on the bends), but this video is pretty good.

karen, the best thing i know about is the indie music scene guide to TO. ;P
elmo, horseshoe, rotate this!, soundscapes, rivoli, lee's...etc, etc.
or maybe best used music stores? or used bookstores?
or maybe a guide to fine vegetarian dining?
or cool places to go see movies?
best candy stores?

went to tango tonite. can now cross it off my list. it was yummy. $3.50 for a whackload of mussels. it was half-price mussel nite. :D christine's sweet potato fries habit is pretty cheap to sustain, too. only $3. the martini's were $8-12, but the one i had (jolinitini--baja rosa--yum) was well worth it. lovely sleek decor, too. definitely gonna go back there again sometime soon.

tomorrow i might be getting drunk w/ journal ppl again, although i might not.

for friday, i just discovered that boy (stephen noel of the yukon) is playing at peel pub, so i'm dragging andria to that, and then afterwards a bunch of us are coming back to my balcony equipped w/ candles and chairs and whatnot and we're gonna get drunk.

geez, i've been going out and drinking a lot lately. it's been fun though!

Wednesday, September 24, 2003

that's a cool assignment kay!
i would suggest you to do ghosts but i think u would scare yourself.
ravers guide - record shop, party locations, djs, hangouts
16 yr teen guide sauga - (crassy can help u out with this)
best places for a romp?
you got lots of things to do. hope you get over your delayed hangover.

MSN took down there chat service today. The media says it's a way to protect children from peds.
The way MSN chat links say it's to off you a better service. It's cool that in my communications class we are learning how to put spins on all sorts of information. Here MSN has really just made there un-moderated chats a paid for service. My teacher does mark hard =/.

tND page still has the feel of the old one. They finaly have a new flyer design cooked up. Same design for there new album and used on the page.

my internet connection is still gay.

tND's got a nifty new site!

je suis fatiguée.

i'm in school, reading about marc print his notes... awww yeah

it's been a pretty good day. i am enjoying today, enjoy yours too nadine.

i wonder how cgal will reply. =p

[edited post, not sure if my first was edited. I have been a bit tired today, forgot my student number]

:);):):):):):)

enjoy today, it's a nice one out

well, he obviously drank more than his usual since everyone was buying him drinks, but he (again, obviously) couldn't hold it all in as he let it all back out by the end of the night. we were talking about tolerance, right? he still isn't sure if he was still drunk or just hungover when he woke up this morning. :D

geez--journal production ran 'til 1 a.m. for me tonite. i'm definitely not gonna be last on thurs!!

cgal--i think i recall someone PINING to go back to school only a few short weeks ago... ;P

Monday, September 22, 2003

cgal, check chapters for your books. you might find some deals.
i bought my last book today thinking i have a test tommorow, it's really weeks away.
sounds like a cozy day for you. i wanted to know if you were still down for going to see Goldie, She FX, etc at the guv but i didnt hear from ya.

stina, "what's with september?".... count 9 months back.
we were talking about NYE conceptions on saturday.
your kingston drinking nights sounds nice.

i remember janice too. interesting.
i dunno what's happening with my younger cousin and his wedding. i think they are planning on waiting but i dunno what exactly will happen.

it was sweet seeing so many ppl today during by 7hrs of break time at school *l*. marc, mark, crassy, and bunch of the ppl i have come across during my time at humber. 2 of the girls i knew got in a big fight. one invited me to stay at her place in greace while she was thinking about kicking the girl out of her locker *l*.
as karen said, "life is weird". i look forward to tuesday.

i almost forgot, happy belated bday Moo! haha

some ppl have been viewing the Dicks (bar) pics again. 21 viewers for that serries and 21 for odk's bday.

oh how i love the rain. it's so beautiful, i wish it could rain everyday (i'm sure my opinion isn't so widely shared;)

i'm already falling back into old habbits, and it's bad. i skipped today, seeing that i only have ONE lecture and i have friends that i can copy notes off of. taking the mississauga transit this morning didn't sound so appealing. so i crawled back into bed and slept the morning away. it's all i want to do.
haven't bought all my texts and i'm so behind on reading. i refuse to buy them from the bookstore but looks as though i may have to...//sigh//
essays already coming up, and i don't want to start them...and i'm already dreading school. everything about it makes me feel awful. fun times ahead...

i know, i'm so chipper.
;)
cgalxxx

rach--is it the same guy she was dating in high school? wow! tell her congrats.

glad you had a good time, karen. :)

marc, you're wrong about the raised tolerance thing though--we went out for wesley's b-day last nite and by the end of it, i was one of the privileged few who got to witness our co-editor-in-chief hurl quite a bit out at the pizza pizza parking lot. of course, technically, it wasn't his b-day anymore since it was about 2 a.m. one of the employees at pizza pizza was pretty cool about it though. he even gave us a pizza bag to take home w/ us just in case.
to be fair, wesley had _a lot_ to drink. i think everyone from the journal who went to the qp (queen's pub) w/ us bought him at least one drink or shot, and there were about fifteen or more ppl there. then after we got kicked out of the qp 'cause they were closing, the hardcore leftover eight of us went to the brass to finish up the night 'til actual last call. then about five of us went to pizza pizza, and a lucky 2 of us got to witness wes hurl. then i got to walk him home. interesting night.
anyway, i had a good time. got to talk to a lot of ppl that i haven't really spoken to informally at the journal yet, and they had some good stuff to tell.
i think we're doing this all again on thurs. 2 more birthdays to celebrate. what is it w/ september?!

Sunday, September 21, 2003

the pics are arranged nicley now. sorry if u were cut out due to cropping *l*.

much love to you all,

Cameron

ps- makes no lil boy underwear jokes at rach. =p. cool that your mom grabbed one with monkies for ya. i really did have the spiderman ones as kid.

happy bday kay. haha i was thinking about copying the code of my blogger wish from u last year but that's cheezy. maybe i will edit it in later.

I had a fantastic time celebrating your birthday karen. You really held your drinks well! It was cool you sis came (drove) and partied with us. I wont forget your indian dancing.
*hears a noise, it appears i never turned of my alarm yet. haha this is my wake up time*
anyways the diner, docks, nadines, denny's.... all great. the only thing that was quite upseting were the assholes starting shit after last call at the docks. I think things were really close to get messy. There was also that one guy who all the girls rejected numerous times but wouldnt go away. He seemed so harmless but he just wouldn't leave. creepy. Besides those bad points there were so many fun and good moments. lots of friends, lots of good tunes, and lots of jokes.

Anyways, I have uploaded the pictures from tonight into an album. I haven't altered them in anyway (yet?). I'm pretty sure you will be able to see ways in which you can make prints.

Il probally make a betta version later.

Saturday, September 20, 2003

i'm baaaaaaack
i doubt anyone noticed i was gone, but, oh well:)
so life has been complicated and frustrating and wow wow wow. where to begin? should i begin? what do i say?
let's rewind back to my birthday (by the way, thanks again for all the wishes) a tiresome day as the day before i had a heartdropping experience, unsure if i could get into another history course as my monday lecture was CANCELLED. what a shit experience. but thankfully,i got into another class, more work but whatever, things don't work out for me! my birthday was lovely, cake w/family, capital j avec joel and cam (AND DAMN YOU!cam for posting that pic! it's too..oh dear!looked better in the dark;) and had many laughs at the crowd and camerons dillpickle beer.

school: going crazy,so much reading,no time to breathe! but along the way, i've met new people and they're all so beautiful.when my one friend louie asked me if i liked 'the mars volta' i was set! he was shocked i knew of them, and pow. bonded. seen some old friends, and it's been alright. mind you the work is already piling up and i'm already closing my eyes to it all. i need a break a l r e a d y.

but today was the clothing show and what an event:) as always, i enjoyed my time there, although it's not much of a savings going. prices have been hiked up but i suppose it's better in the end because i think twice before i buy:) purchases: purple i-clothing shirt, lilac scarf for $8(go vintage!), another shirt (kinda 70s i guess) for $10, and my key piece: a pink geek boutique skirt i've been eyeing for ages for $40. i also bought joel a playdead shirt, seeing it's one of his favorites and he couldnt attend today (he's starting up a new job!) so fingers crossed that he likes it. it was only $20 so no big deal. and in the end, i saved so much which puts a smile on my face!
christina you're article was great. i always look up to you for doing things alone because i know i could never do it. i'm getting better w/starting up conversation w/people i don't know, but it's school related, so nothing that massive! but you're right, you can meet incredible people and probably enjoy yourself so much more at times. bravo.

alright this has become a novel, but i had to fill in.
to whoever read it, good stuff;)
muccccchlove
cgalxxx

christine and i did yoga today. i liked it--felt good afterwards.

a bunch of us are going to the drive-in tonite--my first drive-in experience (that i can remember anyway--apparently my parents took me when i was younger...)!!!

Friday, September 19, 2003

hey, it's international talk like a pirate day today. live it up for the last 30 mins.

rach, that is a wicked tkt story. did the guy ever explain why he was giving 'em away??

i missed seeing the dears at elixir last nite 'cause we didn't finish the paper until something like 2 a.m. boooo. :((

karen--have fun tomorrow!! pretend i'm there. :P

it's wesley's b-day on sun. i don't know if i should get him a card or something or not.

Rach, what a happy storry.
can we put an edge102 banner up on this page? haha they have been nice.

im fricken happy, the Muppets are on CTS. i havent seen this show since i was like 7.
so funny, so entertaining. i don't know how i know the words to the songs. I think one song was in Chicago and another on the Simpsons. ?? ben vereen was the guests singing the songs. this was one of his first shows from 77!!

cliff, welcome back to the accounting =p
Fung was far harder then this prof.

stina, nice article. i liked it more then the other dudes.
thanks for not calling us cowardly =p
I just thought it was more strange when you go to movies in theatre by yourself.
I like doing my own thing but i guess i just need a friend kind there to relate over what happend. I can't call that petty, but maybe I should. Anyways I have a mixture of doing things on my own pretty much at school and when im outside of it. Maybe roles will change some day.

Cameron Bay.

ps- hope rustina makes it marc.

hey, our photo editor wrote this. read it. it's a good read. especially at this pt in our lives.

then you can read this, but it's really not as good.

Phil Collins and Bone Thugs and Harmony....how damn cool is that. Phil Collins...I hope he'll have a concert over here in the next couple years.

I'm driving to dinner for Karen's Bday :) If anyone needs a ride, I think my car is empty so far. BUT, i'm undecided about the Dock's. Don't say you weren't warned.

Cam, I hope your sister has a safe and amazing trip. It's such an experience to travel....especially on your own. Life changing....

Where the hell is Rach lately? Raaaacccchhhhhhh......

It's so beautiful outside. It's kind of warm, and windy and the sky is full of clouds....
beautiful....so ...nice....

i probally will be able to drive, so no worries kay.

woah, it's almost saturday.

i went to t3 with my family to watch my sis depart for korea.

cliff, are u working for the hotle still?
after all these years i have gotten a bit better at accounting =p

Wednesday, September 17, 2003

karen i'm in.

stina, congrads on the modern age. you a regular there?
i just tend to check the pictures. i wonder if this blogs counter went up on the account of more visitors to okeydokes.

congrads on the makeover avril. mayer looked better then. the other 2 are fine.

right on marc with the Britney. my fave is still the slave video. =p

i like the host for CBC's "the X" segment. She reminds me of how pub girl used to be. (humber pub girl seems not quite the same this year). I did a lil look on the net and i think she went to Queen's U. i also found a pic of her as her role of mammoth that took out 3 quaters of the stage. funny thing was, today she mentioned her most embarassing moment and that wasn't it.
haha the other host who im liking more is Amanda Walsh on much. she's getting better.

aww, karen--i wish i could come!! :((

oh my god, you have to see these (from US weekly):

i don't think chris martin looks that bad though.

holy crap, that mention on the modernage really upped my visitor count today! it's too bad i don't have anything interesting on there.

mayer's doing an i&i on mmm! and there's going to be a countdown for it! i kinda wanna see him play his new stuff live (he's playing london, toronto, ottawa and montréal next month), but i can't afford to.
apparently his album came out at #1 in the states and #3 here last week.
and he's gonna be on SNL.
geez.

Tuesday, September 16, 2003

wowies, i'm pseudo-internet-famous. :D

and ryan malcolm (of my university town of choice) is now pseudo-real-world-famous!!! yaaay, kingston pride! and congrats to all the rabid fans whose fingers are now numb from dialing the cdn idol # a bazillion times.

oh my god...Karen why did all your fish die?? Was it the lack of oxygen? not the scary fish :'(

*sigh*
that was one damned satisfying ep of SatC. i think it'll hold me over 'til next year, and that's a good thing, 'cause now i have one less distraction to worry about.
mikhail baryshnikov is still one hotass man, even if he is old. can't wait to see him in some more eps. he is some worthy (maybe even more than worthy) competition for mr. big.

time to read richard III.

i finally got my promo copy of john mayer's new album today. i don't hate it as much as i thought i would. there are actually quite a few catchy tunes. most of it is pure cheese though. his insert booklet is actually pretty amusing--it has all these charts and figures giving colour-coded info about all the songs--man, what a smart-aleck bum. made me laugh.
and i got all these promo door-knob hanger things w/ it! i stuck one on wesley's door--i put it on the side that shows mayer's crotch (well, there's a guitar in front of it) and above it, it says "heavier things." :D

leona naess was on leno tonite. the song she played sounded good. gotta pick up her new album. je l'aime beaucoup.

sam roberts played here tonite. our a&e editor went to interview him, and 5 mins before he had to leave to meet roberts he asked us if we had any good questions since he hadn't prepared any. i wanted to know when he would decide to shed the jesus look, but i refrained from verbalizing my thoughts.

lol, i was thinking u looked like a taller nora in that pic =p

he mentioned few peeps names. if i see the person again il try remember to ask.

The Golden Path video by the Chemical Brothers w/ the Flaming Lips Wayne Coyne is up on thechemicalbrothers.com.
i havent found out when there Best of Singles come out but il likely grab it.... and maybe the DVD too.

oh, and is there an mouline rouge musical play going on?

that's so funny, marc! she does play guitar. her name's jess. she's from winnipeg. she's currently trying to convince me to go to a mayer show w/ her. :D
i look evil in that pic.

cam, bright eyes is really only made up of one guy (kinda like how dashboard confessional is only chris carrabba--maybe it's an emo thing)--ask your friend if he knows what his name is. ;P maybe he's talking about something else??

i had this weird, weird dream last nite that involved semi-hot-film-boy, visiting a modern art gallery and hand-holding. yeeeah. i have no idea.

marc, glad beer made your neck better =p
i really hope that heals up soon.

it's official, my sis is gone this friday to South Korea. Her bf was fine during the last storm it had led to some communication delays with her work.

that a girl stina. lol
singing at the top of your lungs (and running through the halls of HS?) =p
that night reminds me of marc and i's trip to guelph. it reminds of a few good drinking nights.

i remember that pic be taken. that girl was pretty sweet. that doesnt look like you in the background.
i forget the BSB guy's name.

talked to a guy yesterday who knew a few of the guys in Bright Eyes.

Cmaroen Bay.

haha:

weirdness. he is going to be playing a show w/ the roots next month. wow.

cool post, cam. i think that only works for simple words though. if it's a complicated word that we've never read before i don't think we'd be able to figure it out.

who's the guy in the pics? he looks like a backstreet boy.

oh man.
yesterday night we went on a mini-pub crawl--started at andria's friend-since-childhood jeff's house (he gave me a keith's while he was drinking smirnoff ice--role reversal!), then we gathered some more ppl and headed over to mybar, where gemma and her friends proceeded to join us. jeff is fun--he is very obedient when intoxicated--his gf told us that he has strange nipples--they're not where they're supposed to be--they're more off to the side than usual--so i managed to convince him to show me his left one. :D we have now bonded for life. then we somehow got the idea into his head that he should go visit the 2nd floor of ban righ (all-female rez) and handed him a camera, and he, his gf and some of her friends were off. wonder if they actually went. the rest of us, however, continued on to the kingston brew co. where gemma, her friend victoria and i split a really foul-tasting pitcher of pale ale. by then i was pretty damned gone. andria and i split before everyone else, but somehow they caught up to us and went ahead of us, and we made a pit stop at bubba's for their hit-the-spot poutine. i somehow didn't pay for mine and walked out (i guess i really do become a klepto), and then andria revealed some funny, funny stuff to me that i have promised not to divulge. got back home at around 3:30 and wesley was still up (watching season 2 "24" dvd's) and i think i messed up his room a bit and annoyed him thoroughly. anyway, he locked me out of his room, and then all i remember is putting on my cuff the duke cd and singing at the top of my lungs. i had a huge headache while sleeping and i remember dreaming about mraz & co. (nothing dirty) and then at 8:30 a.m. i woke up feeling better, had some water, and then went back to sleep again.

andria called, waking me up at around 12:30 and told me we were going to visit wolfe island w/ kate and gemma. well shite, we ended up doing more than just that by deciding while we were on the ferry to wolfe island to cross the border and drive over to watertown (i thought seeing that place was only going to happen once in my life, but apparently, i was wrong). the girls thought the wolfe-island-to-cape-vincent ferry was pretty amusing. we didn't visit the sketchy bar this time (like i did last time w/ karen & co.), but a really fantastic ny-style (whatever that is) pizzeria up the street instead. we also saw real buffalo (and buffalo babies!) and psychotically patriotic houses w/ "we support our troops" and "god bless america" signs and yellow ribbons tied around poles and american flags that light up. we took pictures. got back at around 8 p.m. (w/ no problem w/ customs at all--didn't even check our ID!)
i think they all went to a kegger afterwards.

i'm tired.

yummmmmm i went for diner to Castros sat night.

stina, i know you have the ATI TV card in your computer. i just downloaded the latest version of the Multimedia Centre. it's a real beauty.
they have a Window through feature which is allowing me to type this blog over a faded TV.
It has cleared up the picture in most my channels.
Gives you sweet options like widescreen ratio
Nicer sound.
Better VCD playback.
maybe more, the downside is that it was a bit tricky installing things at first.

thanks kay.

what does celebrex do? i hope your neck gets better marc.

tonight i'm going out to diner with my family as a last big meal b4 my sis goes away. ummm and then i have a family bbq 2morrow for my sis going away.

i put up the pixs from the party over .::here::.

the site (imagestation) has been the best place i have ever seen for uploading images. it's free now and i see no limits but presume that it will all come to an end sometime. let me know if in the future if u guys wanna adopt a password system for seeing albums.

Sweet deal, Cam.

Galiners, hope you had an awesome birthday. Nineteen, forever! Wooooo. *high five*

Cliff, good luck and congratulations with all these new changes. It's inspiring, really. Where are you living now?

So, my first two weeks of non-schooling around and I've accomplished sort of nothing. I faxed Sheridan for my refund last week and called today to confirm that they received it but no one answered at Academic Services. Wtf? What the hell have I been doing for the last two weeks? It's been such a blur. Weird. And it's Friday...

I'm thinking about looking for a job in my industry that'll take up some time between now and next September but I don't think I really want to. Not out of laziness but there's a lot that I want to do and get out of the way before I tie myself down to a full time education or career, whatever comes first. The only thing that's really motivating me to get an industry job is so that I don't have to see Rogers Video in my nightmares anymore and when it comes time for an interview I don't have a lame answer for "So, why did you take a year off to do 'nothing'?"

Still, I think I'm just gonna work VERY part time at Rogers and come up with Master Plan '04. I'm almost scared. But very excited.

umm, i think you're confusing broken social scene w/ stars, cam. there is no hot guitar player in stars. ohhhhh--but yeah, hot-guitar-man does play w/ them sometimes...but he's on his own tour w/ BSS right now, so he's not w/ 'em.
i wish i could secure some pot just so i could get those free tees. and the $40. :D wonder if it's US or CDN.

odk, that's an early release date seeing how long it's been in theatres.
you have had the opportunity to pre-order for awhile aswell.

by this time next week my sister should be in South Korea teaching English. by that time next week i should be driving her car for 11 months ;).

i wouldn't mind playing again. that was pretty fun. *grabs beer*
centelnial's course

stina, do u find that funny bc your a nut and/or bc you think the guitar player is hot? =p
yeah, i guess i missed the other band members in the video.

Cameron

i love stars. they just sent this out, and i laughed. a lot.
" hello all you long suffering beautiful people of the midwest, how's your summer going? The lunatics have taken over the asylum but stars are coming to give them their pills. We are in Hamtramack mi. tonight playing smalls (the name of which hits awfully close to home i must confess), and then we continue into the heartland of your great country where we will immmediately gain five pounds. Listen folks, on the real, anyone who brings stars GANGA..SPLIFF...HOOLIE....MARY JOE....will get as many free t-shirts as they can fit on their body....and forty dollars. Look for our tour dates on the website, and remember.....we need you.
love, STARS
"

long live hamtramck!

ooh, i like christian bale. he was in newsies. i used to be obsessed w/ newsies. i wonder why he likes to play american characters so much. more variety? a love of american accents?

haha--cam, toca _is_ in the video. he's one of the janitors. i think he's polishing the floor or something. ian's in the vid, too--he's the one who tries to swipe mraz w/ a broom or something.

Thursday, September 11, 2003

that is interesting cliff. i hope that your school, living, and everything else does work out. sounds like you have things a bit set now. i almost feel like congradulating you for a variety of things. il choose to narrow it down for going after the 'actual life'. i think that's what i had congradulated crassy for sometime ago =p

stina, kings of leon just play at the palace? there name seems really familuar.
thanks for WS info. i went to the littleroom today at school after along time away and didnt see any news about it. Gondry does the duplication effect simular to his Let Forever Be video for the Chemical Brothers. overall it was alright, and i realy enjoyed some scenes. I like them crossing each other on and off the subway, the empty box, and meg her drum stick in her mouth =p. i guess the downside to it was that the energy of the toon really didnt transfer over to me and it apperead like they could have aired this as an sesame street segment.
- RH's profile was on MMM today. nothing special but a collection of much interview snippets and old/new videos
-i saw the mraz video and i think i commented on it already. anywhoo it was OK but um yeah, the video could have used toca as another character. didnt come close to bjork's video but i didnt expect it to. i more or less just enjoyed hearing the song. i saw john mayor's new video the other day. meh

p.s. i think kings of leon are opening for the strokes, cam. also, the new WS vid is up on their site. all i can say is--drugs. and no moustache, jack, no. did you watch the mraz vid??

p.p.s. radiohead date has been officially re-scheduled. it's on a wed. shiite.

marc--yes!! i want doubles! but they didn't come out well??? that sucks... :(( my pics came out pretty well...i'll see if i can scan them...

does anybody ever see melvin at erindale?? karen? he said he'd send me something, but i don't think he has my mailing addy here. i want mail!!!

i busted my butt writing an article for the journal today, but i was procrastinating all nite yesterday and i took too long, so now it's not gonna get printed. maybe i'll re-work it a bit and give it to tessa instead.

yeah i saw her at humber. i picked my seat on that side of the room bc i saw the pretty girl in the corner. i didnt recognize her until she asked me if i went to fx. she told me she saw you yesterday marc. i spoke to her more today then i probally did at fx. i thought she looked "differently" aswell. i thought she was a bit more red headed, alot less blond b4. haha i asked her about it but she says that's the colour it always has been.
anywhoo,

lates,

Cameron

yeah cliff, im plenty currious to these happenings. hope things are alright.

stina, you will bet anything?? haha
err your probally right. i wonder who's opening for them.

draft at pub is 2.50 now. maybe it was that last year. pub girl, well she's just not the same this year. i think il have to nominate the new employee as the new pub girl.

i just spoke to debbie from stfx. it was a surprise to see her. she's still quite the pretty lady.

what happened, cliff?

marc--did you ever develop the hillside pics?? i'm dying to see some BSS hot-guitar-man-slumming-it fotos!!!

cameron. the strokes will sell out. and quickly. i'll bet you anything you want if you don't believe me.

just came back from peel pub w/ andria, christine and mike the lesbian. it was fun, but the pub ain't all that great here. burning garbage smell on the patio and mediocre food.

i need to finish my film fest article. i wonder if they'll even accept it this late.

Wednesday, September 10, 2003

pfft, it's only the strokes. i dunno if they will even have the power to sell that place out. i guess if sum41 can hold ground there the strokes have a shot aswell.

hehe i was the bobs.

i went out with cgal and joel yesterday to York's underground pub to see Capital J spin again and to celebrat cgal's bday. it was pretty empty when we got there but had a tiny crowd of dancers later on in the night. nothing to compare to last years crowd. my Keiths drink from the tap tasted strangly like dill pickle chips. anywhoo dispite not being able to dance very long i had a good time.

i got a nice pretty pic of cgal, u can almost imagine headphones on her *l*

and we saw this dude with a tam tam drum and sandles dancing it up

holy shite--the strokes are coming to mississauga, too! what is it w/ the hershey centre?!?

Tuesday, September 09, 2003

hahaha.

You are "the Bobs".

You are basically in a position of power. With the
ability to fire people at will, you can make
them do almost anything you want. Like forcing
someone to lie about their true feelings for
adult contemporary artists.

Which Office Space Character Are You?
brought to you by Quizilla

the new mraz vid is damned friggin' weird. i saw a john mayer poster for sale at the imaginus poster sale today. then i happened to come across a much spotlight on him on the telly. jesus, ppl get big fast.

awwwww rachie, you're the sweetest
"happy birthday galine" msn name. i love yah:)
thank you:*)

awwwww..
how did you all find out about my birthday? did von tip you off? or was it that you remembered simons birthday (which,of course, he has the greatest bday ever;)
so i'm here in the library at wonderful ol'york (NON STICKY KEYS!!!) you should see the computers now, how lovely. brand new and purty. i'm hating all my classes, everyone seems to be 17-18 years old and i want to kick them all. i know i know i'm nice:) nobody i know or like, it's just depressing. but whatever i guess. i have an hr. break until my tutorial but i'm debating if i should go or not. i dont want to wait around for an hour. bahhhh!!! school on my birthday?! life is mean.

cameron, pretty sure i'm going tonight. if ro and you would like to attend, let me know:) i want to get out for the bday and capital j would be divine. yeah, i said divine:)

i don't know if what i'm typing makes much sense (soooo out of it)
but i'll talk soon
and thanks for the wishes, they're much appreciated.
and remember, 19 for life *wink wink

Sunday, September 07, 2003

Rach, "Why do I keep having crazy ass dreams?" For some reason as I was skimming (reading), all I saw was "Crassy". *lol*

I surprisingly had a really good time at Cafe Havana. I can handle the top 40 hip hop and the hardcore rap (as long as the whole crowd is rapping along). I enjoy the "Sean Paul" and the "Justin Timberlake". Good times, good times. It's so nice on the inside, too. I'd want my place to look something like that. Not so much the decor but the homey feeling of it.

Cam, was that the camera that you won from Edge that you brought last night?

Chris, I'm liking the postcard -- "Don't question my authority." Haha. :) I sent that to this guy I used to work with at my internship who has tickets to see 'em, too.
Btw, what ended up of my "article" (if you can call it that)?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CGAL!!! <- I love being the first to wish happy birthdays. God I hope you see this... *sneaky*

cgal do u know what time the salads might hit the stage wednesday?

NV was closed last nite so we went to Havana Cafe which was located beside it (and croc rock). it a pretty good club. the bar tenders were slow but the crowd was rather fun. i loved the lighting upstairs and the atmosphere.
some of the pixs turned out well but im having trouble uploading them onto my rogers page.

rachie
i don't know if you read my last post or not, but if you missed it

it took around 10mins for blogger to load.

anywhoo Office Space is a kick ass movie.

i was happy to see my first indian music video that showed something different then a group dance routine and 2 would be lovers running around.

then i got to see women gymnast on the uneven bars. i was just hoping to find some on tv and behold there it was.

Friday, September 05, 2003

2 and half hour bus trip home from humber =o~

crassy, i saw andre at school today. it was a bit ackward bc he recognized me and i had no clue who he was at first.

i think rach wanted to hit a club 2nite. right now im tired. ummmmmm but watching much's "in your space" made me laugh and happy again. we made a show better then becoming =p

stina, "Tuesday, Sept 9th at 11:00pm
Radiohead LIVE (special re-broadcast of the Montreal Radiohead concert) "-edge102

last nite stine won a risk battle vs marc and myself. well played on her part.
=o)

i didnt catch the mraz web cast but i wouldnt have minded hearing it. didn't notice the shirt but chances are i wouldnt recognize him if he was sitting in my class.

cgal, im kinda interested in seeing the Salads play at umm York Fest. Didn't your school have Capital J and Kid Kola one year??
Past yorkfest headliner Bif Naked will be playing our pub (for free) sept 10th aswell.

i wouldnt mind seeing SWAT, bonus if it was at the drive in on a tuesday ;)

ahh the frisbee game was the most excercise i had all this week =S

i have been enjoying my digi cam.

Thursday, September 04, 2003

hey thanks, cam! i didn't know about the webcast. i really haven't been paying very much attention to mraz goings-on lately. did watch him on good morning america yesterday though. dunno if i'll be back by 9:30 to watch, but i'll try. did ya notice how he's wearing the same shirt he did at the guv show in that pic? i've never actually seen him wear that shirt live before. we call that the "hugh grant shirt" 'cause he's also wearing it in this much-used pic where he looks like...wait for it...hugh grant.

off to see if i can get some advance tix for the film fest...i'm attempting 5 movies tomorrow...doubt i'll get into the woody harrelson one though. damn scheduling!!!

ooh...broken social scene are playing a billion shows this fall...guess they're never coming back to k-town now...they're gonna be playing a lot of dates in the states (even one at cornell! maybe i should go visit ithaca again...heehee) and a few in england and france...i'm tempted to go to the pop montréal fest.

Wednesday, September 03, 2003

too tired to write (working tomorrow at 9am)

rachie + everyone else, check this out
and if you're lazy bums, then it's yorkfest and guess who'll be there?
IME and THE SALADS (and Kardinal offishall;) for free

cgalxxx

haha u are awake kay.... umm and u wanna see swat after rach's review?
someone likes colin farrel =p

spotted more mraz on the net today. a bannar ad led me to this

live web casted show of his tomorrow nite......? lol, not that i think it will be a surprise to stina but more interesting that i found it.

rach, bball today is what marc just said
yeah yeah...... this noon

marc, the girl u were with at the bookstore reminded me a bit of Laura (?) that we went camping with. a more dialed back one. haha

maybe for the dancing

Tuesday, September 02, 2003

lol, marc told me some foul things were afoot.
crassy, u tricksters.
eesh if u were back in school this nonsense would probally have never happened.

ahh today was a pretty sweet day.
sooooo many ppl at humber, some many faces of strangers.
the day had some strange luck to it. on a spur decided to walk into the business office to see what was happening there. i couldn't help but notice how attractive the lady ahead of me was. she happened to be heading to the office aswell and when i caught her face it turned out to be this girl crystal i met last year. i normally dont post about girls but i never met one quite like this. meh, it's always nice talking to her :). heck, it's nice talking to any nice ppl at that school and today i feel like i have met a few.

the 2nd nice bit of fortune was that i won a digital camera at school today from 102.1. I heard ads on 102 that they were doing a campus tour giving away cplus and digi cams and when i saw there tent today i made sure i went out there and entered. the entry form didn even have anything written on it except for asking my details but later in the day my house got a call i won. i should have the cam thursday.

stina, u sound pretty excited about writing an article for the journal ;)
hope u enjoy the fest. hopefully you wont catch films you have already seen.

rach, stop taking drugs.

galine--parking is free at the TTC on weekends.

cam--the singer's name is martina sorbara. she opened for mraz when i saw 'em in detroit.

it was weird to see tND w/ a singer. even weirder to know they rehearsed for once!
i thought the show was pretty wicked. the lighting was fantastic and the crowd was great. i'm really looking fwd to their new album now.

i spent most of the day before tND at the CNE w/ my bro, his gf and her little cousin, mike and his fiancée (which for some reason shaun didn't know about) and neill and his fiancée (shit, everyone's getting married). we spent waaaay too much $$ at the food building (yum, beavertails and cheesecake). watched the 3 hr air show (you should see how giddy my brother gets) and watched the superdogs show in that newish exhibition building. cute dogs!! there was this pudgy bulldog that did absolutely nothing but squat on the ground. awwwww...and there was a rottweiler that had some pretty cool dance moves. i didn't get to watch the whole thing 'cause i had to head to harbourfront, but damn, i wish i coulda met the dogs afterwards during their "meet'n'greet" session. :))

oh, and it turns out i've already seen north by northwest. oops. it was fun to re-watch, though. wonder if shaun would let me exchange it for another hitchcock.

i get to check out some of the film fest this week (in exchange for an article in the journal...)--yeehaw!!!

I knew it!! I knew ittttt!!!!!!!!!! Jailbait!

I got weird tank top tan lines from the Stones concert. You could tell how high up my arm I applied sunscreen because now there's these weird wavy lines on my arms. My shoulders are really dark. lol, it's so bizarre looking.

Rach, I think I know what your screen looks like. It's just a big box that you type your message into instead of a split screen right? And you thought I was crazy when mine looked like that. Tsst, tsst, tsst!

Chris, I don't know what I'm gonna do. This was really exciting when it was first decided but now I'm almost nervous. But still slightly excited. I've been meaning to ask so I can properly follow along, what's RKOP? Don't feel bad, after I answer the phone at Rogers "Rogers, Crissandra speaking" almost immediately do they reply "Hi, CHRISTINA?!?! This is Rogers, right?" Grr. There was a fashion show at Skybar? I never heard about it! I totally would've gone to that, even though I had a tonne of fun at Croc Rock. At Lava Lounge last month, they spun a dance version of White Stripes' Seven Nation Army right after they remixed Coldplay's Clocks, too. Weird!

Cgal, I love the drive-in. Wasn't Johnny Depp amazing in Pirates of the Caribbean? Well, of course you do. TWIN!!?! He did such an amazing job. Brava. Freaky Friday was really cute, too, I love that Jamie Lee.

Monday, September 01, 2003

i'm watching the mtv video awards and the olsen twins came on. they are so hot.

happy relaxation day, everyone!
so last night didn't happen for jAg because we figured that $15 to get there by subway(parking+there&back) wasn't so 'free'. joel d'lded some of their tracks and wasn't liking it much, so we opted for the drive-in. great times, great times! it was 3 movies instead of the usual two, and we stuck around for them all (although i was half asleep for the last one). saw freaky friday which i've wanted to see because i love jamie lee curtis, and it was well worth it. 2nd up was pirates of the caribbean which i've been waiting to see as well. loooooved it!!! johnny depp is one talented man! and last was X2 which i enjoyed as well. we left at 4am, so we were pretty tired. but it was so much fun:D once school starts back, who knows what i'll be able to do (boo)

today is probably just relaxin' and enjoying this day off because i'm working tues-friday. but next weekend off again and then school! i'm getting nervous about it, but i still want to go. i'm fed up with working!

so have a lovely day everyone,
take it easy
cgalxxx

recap
thursday: seeing mraz with stina was pretty fun. stina covered most of the nite in her post. i did enjoy the show very much but did find the 2nd half not as rocking, moments that were not so special. the guvernment is actually a half descent concert venue but it might not be as great if we were stuck back or up against a wall. highlights to the show i figured were when they did Michael Jackson, Christina Agularia, battled Toca, and having the disco ball light up with the club lights. some of the fans introduced over the nite were cool. the kingston girls seemed pretty nice but we abandoned them at the stage and they did the same to us when leaving. i mixed up there names but jes (winnipeg girl) was pretty cool as she could master the yo yo and was busy trying to stretch her ass after the show. one of the girls who aggresivly through herself at the band was pretty damn annoying during the show. i thought i might be mean to her but she was relativly pretty nice to me and she was the one most responsible for getting us into the orange room / sky bar. i had a good time dancing to the jungle in the orange room but the smoke was quite heavy. it was a good nite but it was a bit ackward waiting outside the tour bus when i wasnt waiting for a thing. even around upstairs was a bit different bc i was one of the few guys and the only one there that wasnt a hardcore fan. i was pretty tired that day as i was up since 6am and had to be up the next day for that time. i got him at 3:30 that nite.

sat: played risk, watched the 2 towers, watched space balls =D

sun: saw tND play harbour front with liz, shaun, stina, stine, marcin. they had some cool new beats going which i enjoyed and sweet track to which had a live female vocalist. they rehersed for the first time and it seemed to have worked out well. i thought the energy faded a bit during parts of there 2nd set. it was still a pretty fun show and the crowd was still enthusiastic.
